Engineering Manager

For over 50 years, SimCorp has worked closely with investment and asset managers to become the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading provider of integrated investment management solutions. We are 2,100+ colleagues with a diverse range of nationalities, educations, professional experiences, ages, and backgrounds.

We opened an office in Noida 3 years ago and we are expanding to have more software development teams.

THE ROLE

The SimCorp Dimension product was originally designed for running on-premises with clients, utilizing hardware resources being available 24/7. As we are moving our business model towards being a SaaS provider and based on Microsoft Azure, we need to re-implement our core platform to be efficient on dynamic Azure infrastructure and with a relentless focus on the cost of compute and on storage.

As an engineering manager you will be responsible for helping build up 2 teams \xe2\x80\x93 or more, overseeing and managing 2 software development teams, and develop efficient development processes together with other locations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Managing the teams in collaboration with the product owner and ensuring that features are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Identifying and mitigating risks to features and teams and making sure that any problems that arise are addressed quickly and effectively.

Facilitate agile team processes and help removing impediments that blocks the team\xe2\x80\x99s work.

Working with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the teams work is aligned with the overall business strategy.

Helping the development manager in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to help them grow professionally and meet their goals.

Collaborating with other managers, Scrum Masters, tech leads, PO\xe2\x80\x99s and teams across the organization to ensure that the team\xe2\x80\x99s work are integrated with other business functions and are contributing to the overall success of the company.

Staying up to date with the latest developments in engineering and technology, and advising the organization on new tools, techniques, and strategies that can improve engineering processes and outcomes.

Overall, an engineering manager plays a crucial role in leading and guiding the teams within SimCorp, ensuring that teams are completed successfully and that the team is well-positioned to support the SimCorp\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives.

WHAT WE VALUE

Experience and willingness to take a leadership role for 2 teams

Many years of experience working in software engineering

Data driven decision making

Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure in production environments would be nice

Experience with working in an agile way and a continuous improvement mindset

You have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar

Experience working in an international setting with people from many different cultures

Positive and constructive approach, you bring a smile and positive vibes

You care about your team, and care about having an enjoyable working environment

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)
