Disney Hotstars Infrastructure Engineering team manages technologies and builds platforms that power engineering teams at Hotstar. We operate compute clusters and ingress technologies across several geographies with stringent capacity, reliability, and uptime requirements. We also power the platform that scales the infrastructure during large events as well as provides the guaranteed performance of workloads running on the infrastructure. We set the standard for how infrastructure is managed through code and at the same time build tools and abstractions that help the development teams stay focused on providing a great user experience for our customers. We use AWS for our cloud on top of which we run Kubernetes, Terraform, Envoy, Vault, and Victoria Metrics, all of which are tied together by frameworks we have built in-house. We are a polyglot team and our diverse tools and APIs are written in Golang, Python, and Ruby. Your Key Responsibilities You will interact with engineers, architects, and leads across the organization to identify potential inefficiencies and opportunities and convert them into actionable themes for the Cloud team.
You will set goals, requirements, and direction for the Cloud Infrastructure team and help in execution by prioritization through your technical insights.
You will perform some duties of an IC including vetting design proposals against requirements.
You will keep track of the latest evolution in infrastructure technologies and propose new initiatives.
You will hold a high bar in maintaining standards for infra code and application code delivery in the face of shifting requirements.
You will be the face of the team in a crisis and lead/assist where required to solve the problem at hand.

What to Bring Expertise with Infrastructure Platform Principles and tracking key performance indicators to ensure success.
Experience with AWS and the cloud-native ecosystem including Kubernetes.
Experience with programming using a high-level language experience with Linux and Networking
Experience with IaC tools - from an architectural perspective.
Exposure to design principles - including various ways to rank a solution
Expertise in writing good documentation - with an emphasis on clarity and concision.

As a Sr. Engineering manager, the candidate will be responsible for influencing the organization towards a more consistent and delightful customer experience across teams.

Ideal Education & Experience B.Tech/B.E/ Masters. in Computer Science from a reputed college or related technical discipline with 10 years of experience in being an individual contributor as well as managing large scale infrastructure and teams with a focus in delivery and planning.
