We are hiring an Engineering Manager!!

Join the core group of founding members at the NTE India to build an organization from the ground up.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To Boldy build whats next. Be part of the technology transformation at Northern Tool, serving millions of customers across our Retail and Online channels, to provide a seamless customer experience.
The engineering leader at our India location will bring in the best talent and produce quality deliverables working with the IT senior leadership to identify the right skills and enhance capability and delivery across eCommerce, Data Engineering, ERP and core infrastructure.
To oversee the consolidated project portfolio, establish and maintain project execution best practices, provide organizational visibility to project health and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and deliver expected business value.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Work as a subject matter expert of IT portfolio, understand the priorities and supports teams in HQ2 for their deliverables.
Develop indepth knowledge of the system landscape and act and the point person during IST time zone.
Provide local guidance for the Scrum Team including the Product Owner on agile requirements, agile planning, backlog creation practices and all things Scrum and technical trouble shooting within these teams.
Support teams in transforming from project methodologies to more agile and product-aligned ways of working.
Collaborate with WHQ to build process maps and knowledge repository to set team up for success.
Working with TA to support technical hiring process including participate in creating JDs with functional managers, participate in intake call, interview process for IT team members in India.
Work with HR, ITops team and functional managers for effective onboarding including onboarding plan, system access, project documentation, team communication and other prerequisites are in place before a new member joins.
Drive team engagement and cross team collaboration for HQ2 IT team.
Work with functional managers at WHQ to identify training and development needs and provide inputs on performance evaluation, goals, and recognition.
Ensures organization policies and processes are understood and adhered to by HQ2 IT team members.
Establishes and sustains interactive relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization.
Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional teams, task dependencies and schedule.
Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives, organizing necessary resources.
Provide technical leadership to major initiatives and projects as may be required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Computer science graduate with 10+ years of strong software engineering background.
3+ years of experience as a manager coaching teams to improve performance, results and solving productivity issues.
Must have the art to foster relationships and conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence.
At least 1 year of experience working within an Agile Scrum team.
Knowledge of SDLC processes and best practices.
Experience with Scaled Agile is a bonus.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, BAs, Developers, Testers etc.)
Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Knowledge of Azure Cloud and Microsoft products will be an added advantage.
Well versed in Change and release management process, familiarity with best practices and guidelines.
Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills, particularly as it relates to application design and development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipments 12 core competencies.
