You will be working as Engineering Manager and will be part of Motion Business Area for System Drives Division based in Bangalore North, India. In this role you will be reporting to Business Manager - E2E and will be responsible for managing a team of designers or engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions for various products, formulating plans, and allocating of resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensuring team\'s compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices, and safety requirements. Your responsibilities Defining and ensuring implementation of operating guidelines for team. Overseeing progress within own area of responsibility, identifies and manages technical issues Driving team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety, and quality requirements Ensuring correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defines relevant performance metrics Creating work plans and cost estimates for engineering work. Collaborating with other stakeholders locally and globally to ensure the team\'s goals are aligned with the overall division or product group goals and the systems and processes are implemented in line with global standards Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support the engineering execution Conceptualizing new designs and translate concept into product design. Designing products considering to project requirements as per Global Engineering Process Your background Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics) Minimum 10+ years of experience in power electronics applications in industrial or energy storage field while being in a relevant middle or senior position Proficiency and familiarity in design software\'s including MATLAB, design simulations and prototyping Ability to interact, communicate and work effectively with all like internal cross function teams, global team, customer, and vendors Good knowledge with all phases of engineering activities and should have an active working relationship with both internal and external customers More about us ABB System Drives is a global supplier of high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial processes and large infrastructure applications.
