Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and refining product development, testing, and manufacturing processes as an engineering manager.

• Manage staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
• Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
• Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
• Strive to improve the efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
• Secure the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
• Help to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
• Attend trade shows and conferences, and makes site visits to suppliers facilities.
• Advocate on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
• Maintain high-level expertise in their field or sector.
• Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
• Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.

Work Hours & Benefits

Expertia follows a 5-day work week, but as we are a rapidly growing startup, you will be expected to fill in and step up, in case of issues affecting the customer experience and critical business deliverables.

Qualifications/Skills:

At Expertia, we are not big fans of the qualifications, but instead, we would prefer if you had all or most of the skills listed below, with the first 5 being essential.

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Experience working with seed-stage startups that are undergoing significant growth.
• Experience working in a SaaS environment or product-based environment.
• Strong Proficiency in Node.JS and React.JS Framework
• Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes.
• Strategic thinking, Critical thinking, Attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership, team building, mentoring skills, personnel, and project management skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
• Proficiency in using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
• Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools is a plus.
• BE in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related degrees.
