We are looking for an Engineering Manager who is technically capable and has a business/entrepreneurial sense. We're seeking a leader with a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering products and releases. We'd like to hire a manager who has built engineering teams, has a passion for getting things done, finds satisfaction in others' success, and is eager to learn and lead change. You will work closely with the engineering management team to set and meet product and business

commitments that span across multiple scrum teams and managers. In this role, you will manage a team based in India and partner with other Everbridge teams around the world. This critical role will help our India team grow and integrate with the rest of Everbridge to achieve long-term business and technical objectives.

As Manager you'll be responsible for 3 things: Providing exceptional leadership, building a cohesive and high

We are an agile shop, mostly scrum, developing in AWS using deployment and test automation, containers,

microservices and serverless techniques.

What you'll do:

• Keep a strong eye on the customer's needs, with a focus on providing long-term value.
• Evaluate and ensure the technical effectiveness of the product - scalability, maintainability, cost to deliver, and operability.
• Mentor the team to achieve a balance between speed to market, architectural excellence, and maintainability with a focus on company ROI.
• Develop a partnership with the product management team to collaborate on the development and implementation of the product roadmap
• Build collaboration with other Engineering, Operational, and Product leaders.
• Manage a hybrid team of in-house engineers and contractors.
• Bring in a strong DevOps culture.
• Have trusting, coaching relationships with team members. Motivate, set expectations, and help team members to work together so that the team is highly productive and collaborative.
• Work with superiors to plan and evaluate the team together. Model the philosophy that good ideas come from everywhere and be seen as a partner to colleagues at all levels.
• Drive high-quality and secure SDLC in all software solutions.

What you'll bring:

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldsis strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of significant experience in software development roles including 5 years leading and/or managing teams.
• Confidence in running software teams, including dealing with multiple challenges (e.g. building a team).
• Comfort working in a complex, technical environment, where you had to work with multiple stakeholders to drive results.
• Agile knowledge, including dealing with defects, feature requests, and quality challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines: Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Performance Engineering, Database Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, etc.
• Project sizing, decomposition, commitment setting, and execution in collaboration with management.
• Agile development experience including working with Atlassian stack, especially JIRA
• Experience in the following will be an added advantage
• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• FedRAMP compliance
