The role holder needs to manage one or more clients from regions having different time zones, regulatory environment, and maturity of business, data and systems.
Given the highly competitive nature of Analytics industry, building capability and retaining talent is a key focus area.
There are multiple teams supporting different aspects analytics for the same larger business problems. The job holder needs to drive collaborations and synergies to integrate the analytics solutions for the business.
The incumbent of this role is expected to surmise the business priority and enable the effective delivery of projects and analysis.
Lead a unit of 2550 people strong, within the function (Across regions/across products).
The role holder shall also be expected to lead a team within the function; guide and lead AVPs / Sr. Managers / Managers, from a functional & administrative perspective and help them build up a strong business understanding.
Expected to own and deliver on data and analytics support while working in a matrix structure involving multiple business partners and decision makers. Drive the advanced data and analytics agenda of the function for the region/ portfolio supported.
Deliver on GAC responsibilities / intra functional responsibilities in alignment with other verticals.
Develop a consulting culture within team that seeks out opportunities to expand & deepen relationships with existing clients and acquiring new ones
Projects and analysis Strong understanding of business domain, its strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical expertise.
Ensures the delivery of information to support the strategic and tactical information needs of the organization. Oversees the integrating and staging of data and development of data stores for use by analysts throughout the organization.
Prioritizes and assigns large scale business initiatives and Performs high-level review of projects to ensure conformance to business requirements and objectives

Service delivery Responsible for delivery of high quality analytical solutions for the existing clients / engagements.
Partner with business stakeholders in formulating key analytical strategies / decision making to achieve a higher value.
Ensure positive score in the Business Partner Surveys
Translate key analytical solutions as generic and re-deployable across regions / counties.

Operational Effectiveness & Control Routinely uses management information to monitor and enhance business, projects and system accesses, enforcement of compliance & business policies and people performance
Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same.

Global WPB Fraud Transformation Project Managers plan, mobilize and direct change projects of varying complexity from inception to closure. They are responsible for leading and managing large scale change projects across a wider range of geographies and time zones.
They act as a role model, demonstrating active leadership and clearly communicating to a wide range of stakeholders.
Project Managers are responsible for the adherence of the Bank’s agreed transformation methodologies within their project and instilling good project disciplines.
The role holder has end to end responsibility for all aspects of the project, including defining and planning, mobilisation and execution and delivering benefits realisation against key business outcomes.
They work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure alignment of their projects with the wider change portfolio and Group Strategy, Business Outcomes, Values and Behaviours.
Project Managers will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programmes they work on, they may also have line or functional management responsibilities.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role: Min. 12+ Year of relevant experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other suitable specialisms.
At least 10+ years of Business Experience focused primarily in the Financial Services Lending and Fraud
Experience in running Global Offshore R&A team and a proven track record in establishing a high performance and efficient Data & Information Management unit.
Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude.
Experience with a Consulting organization and practices and Program/Project Management
Knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP), Data Modelling is a plus
Ability to comprehend intricate and diverse range of business problems and analyse them with limited or complex data and provide a feasible solution framework. Experience on working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities.
Min. 6+ Year of relevant experience in cloud migration/deployment for the wider business function.
Min. 4-5+ Year of experience in infrastructure technologies such as Hadoop, Integrated development environment, Enterprise Servers & Storage clusters, Compute virtualization etc.
Strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data cleaning, data modelling, data quality, visualization and dashboard design and regulatory and compliance matters.
Experience with Agile/iterative process in the context of project tracking and reporting. Exposure to JIRA/Confluence for project management activity
Enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring and developing use cases for new data and/or tools/wider industry trends
Client/Account Management experience and/or P&L Management Experience is a plus
Proven ability to work across markets whilst maintaining a global perspective
Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
Strong people and team management experience
Proven implementation, change management and benefits realization experience
Experience to deliver end to end cloud based service deployment with re-write, re-host and re-factor solutions on private, public or Hybrid cloud platform.
Experience in leading end to end GCP data life cycle management such as data ingestion, data transformations, data warehousing, data visualization and analytics etc.
Fully understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical environments that lead the technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation, and ensure that the service fulfils the requirements.
Experience in documentation of cloud adoption business requirement documents, Environment testing SIT document, User onboarding documents etc.
Ensure the technical requirements tie back to the established customer goals and strategy with right solution delivery in alignment of various technology teams
Ability to transition designs to engineers/developers, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the designs implementation.
Strong understanding on the state of the art infrastructure technology stack such as Kubernetes micro services, CI CD orchestration, GCP native tools and services, Systems & Application integration etc.
Strong Knowledge on GCP Data architecture technology stack such as Spark In memory computing framework, High performance Sql/Nosql DB & storage systems, End to end data pipeline integration & jobs orchestration etc.
Exposure to Analytical modelling approaches and data science or ML-ops environments.
Understanding of all the Cloud approvals in the context of trusted source framework, source data acquisition, data hosting, data privacy/security entitlements, Data Quality in alignment of CDO & IT approval framework for the cloud based implementation.
Strong understanding of fraud typologies, fraud mitigants and fraud technologies.
Excellent understanding of Change Frameworks and Agile methodologies
A thorough understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamentals of Transformation
Very strong knowledge of the external environment regulatory, political, competitors etc
Proven experience in Project managing and delivering GCP, Fraud, Digital and IT change initiatives
Evidence the delivery of large scale complex programmes at pace, developing high performing interchanging teams to support delivery at each stage
Large scale IT re-platforming, including exposure to functional and non-functional requirements gathering and business and technology architecture solution design.
Proven ability to create the complete execution roadmap & delivery activity based plan to track the milestones progress through regular scrums cadence.
Ability to drive the testing and validations against various test case scenarios as part of Unit test, System integration test, Performance test etc.
Demonstration of providing cohesive support to IT functions in build and release process.
Outstanding understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
Strong understanding of banking / HSBC and of how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders
Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop end to end solutions.
Collaborate with partners across business groups, evaluate emerging techniques that may contribute to existing analytical capabilities and computational models
Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success.
Maintain the level of communication/interaction across the team and direct manager including onshore business partners
Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude. Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is advantageous.
