We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specialising in Indian and Chinese cuisine to join our culinary team at our owned Resort in Mulshi in Pune. The Chef will be responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting authentic Indian and Chinese dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, expertise, and a deep understanding of Indian and Chinese culinary traditions to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and execute Indian and Chinese menus in accordance with established recipes, standards, and specifications.
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian and Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Source and select high-quality ingredients, spices, and seasonings for Indian and Chinese recipes, maintaining inventory levels and controlling food costs.
  • Create innovative and authentic Indian and Chinese dishes that appeal to our diverse clientele while incorporating seasonal ingredients and regional flavors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in Indian and Chinese cooking techniques, recipes, and culinary best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop Indian and Chinese menus, specials, and promotions, leveraging market trends and customer preferences.
  • Monitor and evaluate food quality, taste, and presentation, soliciting feedback from guests and making adjustments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and cost analysis for Indian and Chinese cuisine, optimizing profitability and revenue generation.
  • Stay informed about culinary trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques in Indian and Chinese cuisine, incorporating innovative ideas and concepts into menu offerings.
  • Represent the restaurant at culinary events, food festivals, and industry gatherings, showcasing Indian and Chinese culinary expertise and promoting brand awareness.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience 8+ years) as a Chef specialising in Indian and Chinese cuisine, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian and Chinese culinary traditions, ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks.
  • Creativity and passion for food, with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative and authentic Indian and Chinese dishes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Certification or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
  • Food safety and sanitation certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact professionally with guests.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: \xe2\x82\xb935,000.00 - \xe2\x82\xb945,000.00 per month Benefits:
