Position Summary:

The Senior Manager Learning and Development is responsible for establishing our learning & development strategy and delivering solutions that improve this capability to meet a rapidly changing/growing environment, in close partnership with the BMS Global Growth & Development (GG&D) team and Director HR, Hyderabad, along with other functional learning teams.

This person will be responsible for designing, creating, implementing and measuring the impact of general, management & leadership development efforts for Hyderabad. This includes building management & leadership development experiences, tools and frameworks; key talent development programs; career development programs, team building activities, coaching & mentoring solutions; and leadership development assessments. This role proactively identifies and diagnoses organization talent gaps, designing new programming as needed.

This individual will play a critical role in supporting the India strategy and will ensure that solutions meet evolving business needs and that we are building the workforce needed for our future.

Key Responsibilities Includes, but not Limited to

  • Define the learning & leadership development strategy for Hyderabad, aligned with our GG&D team, talent philosophy and business needs.
  • Provide general an leadership development and experience-based learning across the organization in various formats to upskill and reskill employees. Drive our philosophy of enabling employees to take ownership of their development.
  • Leverage corporate resources and programs while also identifying local vendors and content. The individual will be responsible for identifying and working with local partners such as training vendors, executive coaching firms, universities, executive development schools, training and management consulting firms, etc. to create design and deliver innovative learning solutions.
  • Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: onboarding, people manager and leadership development programs, key talent development experiences, career development, team effectiveness, working in a matrix model and business unit specific leadership and management training.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR team to understand specific skills needed and required of managers, leaders and executives to define learning & development solutions. Defines scope of work by differentiating between HR-provided vs. business-provided learning (technical skills).
  • Monitors external market trends and partners with leaders and HRBPs to identify urgent talent gaps, developing targeted learning & leadership development strategies and programs to address them.
  • Ensure sponsorship, engagement and alignment of key stakeholders, including the BMS Global Growth & Development (GG&D) team.
  • Develop and implement innovative communication plans that engage people in the different development solutions designed/provided by the team.
  • Design program KPIs and collects/analyzes data to ensure impact and effectiveness of programs and adjusts as needed.
  • Support leaders in embedding acquired learning and capability to their roles and organizations.
  • Role model and be a champion for innovation in the talent & leadership development space.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of the annual calendar of learning & leadership development programs, initiatives and tools.
Leadership Responsibilities:

Provides HR leadership for senior leaders and client groups in the organization.

Key Business Partners:

Business Leaders, HRBPs, Diversity & Inclusion, HR COEs, Legal & Compliance, EHS & Wellbeing, Corporate Affairs, Business Insights & Analytics, Sales Training.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in HR, psychology, business, or related disciplines; experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies is preferred
  • Masters\xe2\x80\x99 Degree in Learning, Organizational Development, Industrial / Organizational Psychology or HR management is a plus
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in complex matrix business environments, including experience in leadership development
  • Extensive knowledge of management, leadership and executive development, including key talent development programs, 360s and other psychometric assessments and executive coaching
  • Consultative approach towards clients and outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills; a role model of the values, concepts and skills we teach
  • Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to identify and recommend process improvements and best practices
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the latest leadership & training research
  • Strong understanding of adult learning, and how to apply it to development programs
  • Strong project management experience
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills and prior experience managing teams
  • Proven ability to excel in a high volume, fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using and presenting data to make decisions; including learning evaluations and people analytics
  • Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
