What will you be responsible for?
\xef\x82\xb7 Understand and deploy EIS vision within Data Protection (DP) function.
\xef\x82\xb7 Develop/enhance and implement data protection/security solutions and capabilities that are
clearly aligned to their business, technology, and threat drivers.
\xef\x82\xb7 Advocate Information Services (IS) and Enterprise Information Security (EIS) goals and
commitments for data protection/security.
\xef\x82\xb7 As the engineering lead, facilitate strategic planning with stakeholders (business/facility
operational leadership, intake, and governance teams, IS groups etc.) for deployment or
enhancement of information technologies and/or major solutions and services.
\xef\x82\xb7 Accountable for development, delivery and quality of assigned solutions and services to
accomplish function objectives; helping deliver solutions delighting caregivers, improving
patient experience and add strategic value to Providence.
\xef\x82\xb7 Influence decisions in partnership with program leadership to ensure work toward common
objectives.
\xef\x82\xb7 Provide responsive leadership to delegate, coordinate, and motivate staff; evaluate
performance for direct reports and for contractors/other peoples\xe2\x80\x99 direct reports; work with
individuals and HR to improve performance as needed.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assume responsibility for engineering teams of up to 15 caregivers.
\xef\x82\xb7 Consistently demonstrate a sense of accountability for the quality and completeness of entire
solutions/ service and resulting caregiver experience.
\xef\x82\xb7 Build and track Data Protection related KPIs and risk-based metrics and assist with reporting on
those metrics to senior management on regular basis.
\xef\x82\xb7 Define and drive mitigation controls for identified risks across the organization.
What would your day look like?
\xef\x82\xb7 Engage with Enterprise Information Security (EIS) and Providence Global Center in India.
\xef\x82\xb7 Identify areas of automation within assigned solutions and services and drive them towards
completion. Reduce Operational issues by improving Engineering practices.
\xef\x82\xb7 Work closely with the Agile Program Manager to prioritize out backlog (epics/features/user
stories) and engineering plans, including specs and design collateral.
\xef\x82\xb7 Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on
those with a maximum value that are aligned with the function\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
\xef\x82\xb7 Participate in design, code/config, and test planning and reviews across the feature area,
understand the root causes of issues, and find ways to resolve them. \xef\x82\xb7 Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well
as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
\xef\x82\xb7 Adhere to the Providence engineering\xe2\x80\x99s quality criteria for assigned solutions and services, using
measurements and insights to understand and validate the quality of experience for caregivers.
Pro-actively and independently develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
\xef\x82\xb7 Coordinate with Architects, Scrum Master and Dev Leads to help deliver robust solutions.
Who are we looking for?
\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum 15 years of experience in an Information Systems role.
\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum 10 years of experience in Engineering Manager Role, with minimum 5 years in Agile
mode.
\xef\x82\xb7 Preferred 3 years of experience of Solution or Service Engineering within a Healthcare, Pharma
or Bio-Technology organization.
\xef\x82\xb7 Excellent analytical and business articulation skills with proven track record of collaborative
design in an Agile team environment.
\xef\x82\xb7 Deep knowledge of at least two data protection/security capabilities such as Database Activity
Monitoring, Data Access Governance (SailPoint, Stealthbits, Varonis etc.), Data Classification
(Boldon James, Microsoft Information Protection, TITUS etc.), Data Loss Prevention (Forcepoint,
McAfee, Symantec etc.), Information Rights Management (Microsoft Information Protection,
Seclore, Vera etc.), Enterprise DLP (SaaS-based, network based or on-prem), Enterprise DRM,
Office 365 data security capabilities.
\xef\x82\xb7 Understanding of CASB capabilities (API-based and inline) and deep knowledge of Microsoft
Cloud App Security (MCAS).
\xef\x82\xb7 Preferred knowledge of data security laws and standards (HIPAA, CCPA, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC
27701, NIST SP 800-53 and Privacy Framework).
\xef\x82\xb7 CDPSE certification and/or expertise
