We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst. In this role, you will: . Support the product owner in the management of their work stream Backlog and the prioritisation of stories and subtasks. . Groom the stories in the backlog to ensure that they are prepared to meet the \'definition of ready\' . Complete tasks assigned by the Project Manager and Workstream Lead, to agreed timescales, scope and quality measures . Work under direction of the HSBC product owner for the in-house product . Liaise between surveillance IT and users, management of stakeholders and project staff, including surveillance IT teams, vendors, users, project sponsors, managers of other projects and other departments within HSBC. . Management of workstream activities: prioritizing work activities and issues arising, arranging workshops, tracking progress, promoting collaboration, and escalating issues which cannot be addressed by the workstream staff. . Manage all phases of project lifecycle: documentation of requirements and acceptance criteria, analysis, design, implementation, designing tests, managing test exercises, coordinating fixes, release management, go-live, user support . Carry out full cycle of software implementation: build, test, go-live . Support IT leads and surveillance officer \'ruleset owners\' in designing and delivering new detection logic for 4-5 new detection models in equity . Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal policies and control standards, and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group\'s standards of ethical behaviour . Using and adapting the HSBC Disciplined Agile methodology Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: . 6+ years data analysis, business analysis, process design and control implementation experience within the world\'s top 10 investment banks . Global implementation of technology solutions . Involvement in a full project lifecycle: documentation of requirements, development and implementation, test management, release planning, go-live and user-support. . Experience of equity and/or fixed income products, including cash equity, equity futures and options, OTC derivatives and swaps in equity, bonds, ABS, MBS, interest rate swaps, bond futures, and other fixed income OTC derivatives, in an investment banking context, within a function or department that faces the front-office. . Experience in Regulatory or Surveillance business processes and case or alert workflow applications in trade surveillance, regulatory reporting OR market abuse . Accountability for delivery - takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution with minimal supervision . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (comfortable in written and verbal communications) to facilitate with users from around the world and from different cultural backgrounds), relationship management and flexible interpersonal skills . Disciplined Agile and SAFE framework experience .
