We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specilaist.

In this role, you will:

  • Leading a DevOps/SRE team and project managing engagements within a global professional business services environment that focuses on application support services, IT operations support, IT architecture on-premise/cloud based, training staff/end users, and incident response management;
  • Developing and offering creative and effective solutions to troubleshoot problems and/or business issues related to Application Support Services.
  • Utilizing and applying Industry and Firm IT services knowledge, emphasizing the understanding of business functions and architecture deployed globally; and,
  • Proactively managing applications to support service levels, incident resolution, capacity planning, and protection and integrity of data.
  • DevOps Application support (Batch monitoring, incident and problem management)
  • Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build the end to end solutions to reduce manual work
  • Improve alerting to remove manual monitoring
  • Work in Agile/DevOps/SRE environment and follow the best practices and principles of Agile and SRE.
  • Work hand in hand with senior team members/PSM to build the solutions and gradually gain technical skills and business knowledge.
  • Learn Java Micro Service development and Google Cloud technology.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • 12+ years of DevOps/Application support experience.
  • Managing efforts across multiple technical teams and their supported services, especially translating business demands into prioritized initiatives to fill business requirements across services and/or projects:
  • Managing resource and service level requirements, preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials;
  • Leading operational initiatives for Application Support team, including application management expertise, performance tuning, application
  • Understanding the knowledge specialization required to manage enterprise wide services as well as manage the competing demands for IT resources;
  • Troubleshooting and fixing application issues; and, Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, answering questions, providing direction to less-experienced staff, coaching staff
  • including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
  • Experience of Unix, Oracle PL/SQL, core Java
  • Experience with batch scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys etc.
  • Experience of working on CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, Ansible or similar tools.
  • Exposure to any monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Geneos,
  • Exposure to log aggregation tools like Splunk, Grafana Loki.
  • Experience in ticketing tools like GSD, ServiceNow, RTC etc.
  • Exposure to Development practice and eager to learn Micro Service development in Java
  • Lead and take accountability of DR exercise related tasks for the application
  • Exposure to people management, shift and team roaster management
