Job Description


  • Implement various manufacturing and enterprise level process excellence programs like TPM, Kaizen, variability reduction projects, improvement programs, 5S, process mapping, training and process excellence projects, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement.
  • Leads cross functional production teams working on continuous improvement initiatives, such as cost savings initiative and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Improvements in support of meeting site objectives and other strategic objectives.
  • Eliminate all kinds of waste across the organization, by continuous monitoring of all processes.
  • Develop training modules and imparting training on lean tools & Train and coach direct reports and production team to foster organizational Continuous Improvement mindset and behavior.
  • Training and aggressively driving continuous improvement projects across plants by implementing Kaizen, Poka-yoke, Kanban, TPM, modification in layout, low-cost automation, mechanization, automation, etc.
  • Analyze design of facility layout and material/workflow to improve efficiencies production facilities and equipment layouts which resulting in reduction of human efforts.
  • Support development of operational procedures and standard work methods and conduct assessments to improve the standards.
  • Conduct studies & roll out improvement projects road map for productivity enhancement, cost saving & manpower optimization.
  • Monitor equipment utilization, manpower productivity, plant complexity analysis and prepare Monthly MIS.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement tools and techniques, including Lean, six sigma, Plan-do-check-act (PDCA), Value stream mapping to assess, identify, plan, action and drive improvements through to completion.
  • Participates and leads in the development of strategies and systems to ensure that all operations achieve quality, safety and production targets, minimizing scrap and increasing manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Provides support and analytical tools to support internal production projects and improvements.
  • Manages the tracking and reporting of production metrics such as output, scrap, labour hours to forecast/budget.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technology experts to implement best in class digitalization initiatives for the production floor to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Manages the development and review of related production SOPs, batch documents and other Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documents.
  • Manage, share, drive and standardize the usage of industry best practices for continuous improvement (methodology, root cause analysis, process mapping, statistical analysis) on the production floor.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in each stage of operation by carrying out value stream mapping a scientific time study based on Most and balancing lines for optimization of resources and output.
  • Study and analyze each manufacturing operation in detail and identify 8 types of wastes in the product line (Muda, Mura, Muri). Eliminate all types of wastes by training and implementing manufacturing methodology based on LFAN principle.
  • Undertake assignment as both industrial as well as method engineering expert for consistent and systematic improvement in plant performance and optimum utilization of resources with minimum wastage.
  • Conduct time studies on shop floor, create cycle time and cost models for operations and establish production norms to establish database and monitor estimated vs actual performance of all resources at plant impacting cost and deliveries.
  • Assist all improvement projects under Kaizen, suggestion scheme and all initiatives supporting Cost Cycle time reduction including m/c or process selection.
  • Lead teams for running successful operations, executing projects, transfer & absorption of technology and meeting objectives in tough situations and facilitate new product development, new technology implementation and enhance existing technology\'s manufacturing methods and tools of lean manufacturing and six sigma.
:
  • At Least 8+ Years experience of establishing and optimization of production and capacity, cost and cycle time reduction through time studies, value stream mapping, debottlenecking, line balancing, low-cost automation, mechanization.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, 5S, Kaizen
  • Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiations and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, senior management, employees, and other departments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially in English and Marathi/Hindi languages
