Our Team:
We are a combined team of Communications and CSR departments. Together with Public Affairs, we form the Corporate Affairs function. The role of Communications is to engage our stakeholders by delivering impactful messages that distinguish Sanofi and drive desired results \xe2\x80\x93 always recognizing that our connection with patients inspires all we do.

This position:

  • Reports to the Senior Director for Communications & CSR (India & South Asia). Is also a Member of the Specialty Care (SPC) Leadership Team.

  • Corporate Communications: Responsible for building and protecting corporate image (global company chasing miracles of science; in India for India; leader in diabetes care, vaccines, and rare diseases; high quality products; creating social impact; ethical marketing and people practises) amongst key stakeholders (external & internal).

  • Internal Communications: plays an important role in supporting business objectives, shaping organisation culture, and engaging employees with relevant content about strategic priorities and ways of working. The incumbent will communicate internally (all-India/Nepal employees).

  • Specialty Communications: provide strategic counsel and partner the team in shaping the market for Rare Diseases, Atopic Dermatitis, and other key therapeutic areas (current and potential), and positioning Sanofi as a market leader.


To be successful, the incumbent will need to work seamlessly in a large and global matrix environment, live Sanofi values, be a role-model for Sanofi\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x98ways of working\xe2\x80\x99, while also channelizing the leadership team to champion it across the affiliate.

Main responsibilities:

Corporate External Communications:

  • Build image in media as well as with key stakeholders (French embassy/consulate, influencers, etc.).

  • Ability to create, execute, and measure content and communication channel strategy. The content must be recyclable for various stakeholders (employees/media/ government/industry forums/talk points/etc.) and adapted (AV/ PowerPoint/article/etc.) for different channels (Yammer/Twitter/website/LinkedIn/speaker platforms, etc.).

  • Enable (identify, facilitate, and prepare) speaking opportunities for Company spokespersons, especially the media, to strengthen image and drive the purpose of the Company.

  • Corporate owned channels (website, Twitter & LinkedIn) \xe2\x80\x93 provide inputs and content for corporate & liaise with Head \xe2\x80\x93 Vaccines & Internal Communications (peer) for medico-marketing content.

  • Work with the Company Secretary to provide inputs and content for the integrated report.


Internal Communications:

  • Effectively inform, inspire and instil pride amongst employees in the affiliate.

  • Support project management, materials development, and execution of large internal corporate events.

  • On commemorative days, partner Head \xe2\x80\x93 Marketing Communications (GenMed, Vaccines & CHC) as well as Specialty team and functions (e.g. HR, Ethics & Business Integrity, etc.) to develop, plan and execute employee engagement and communication strategies/plans that are aligned with Sanofi\xe2\x80\x99s strategic endeavours.

  • Develop internal communications for a variety of channels, including yammer posts, intranet updates, leadership messages, presentations, and announcements.

  • Measure the impact of communication efforts post-implementation and adjust as necessary

  • Adhere to brand standards and ensure consistent brand voice across the greater organization.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across the business.


Specialty Communications:

  • Partner the GBU and Public Affairs to develop strategic and targeted communications to support the business objective of expanding access amongst patients. This includes disease awareness and sharing testimonials/patient stories amongst decision makers and influencers in the Central and State government.

  • Market shaping and outreach to stakeholders and influencers to introduce new therapeutic areas.

  • Build image as a leader in rare diseases by creating events/news and through media articles.


Crisis management: as relevant. Along with building reputation, image protection and proactive action is also a part of this role\xe2\x80\x99s scope.

About you

  • Experience: This position will benefit from prior experience and learning that the candidate can leverage for sound judgement, quick thinking, and efficient action. Therefore, the candidate must have experience in a variety of corporate communication disciplines, including strategic planning, enterprise communications, media relations, issues management, ally development, and executive leadership communications. The person must have created/executed/measured campaigns, worked on different communication channels, be adept at creating/understanding filmmaking, managed crisis, and written articles/white papers.

  • Soft skills: problem solving, conflict resolution, adaptability, critical thinking, time management and a \xe2\x80\x98team\xe2\x80\x99 person.

  • Technical skills: storytelling and editing skills across a variety of channels for varied audiences (create and repurpose for different platforms); skilled in SharePoint, Yammer & moviemaker, and is \xe2\x80\x98technology\xe2\x80\x99 savvy.

  • Mindset & personality: out-of-the-box, calm under pressure, optimistic, empathetic, confident, fun, and self-starter.

  • Education: post-graduate in any discipline

  • Languages: English. Other languages are an asset, not mandatory.
