About the department

The mission of Global IT Operations (GITO), Global IT GBS is to set the strategic and technological direction for the global IT Operations of Novo Nordisk. The unit manage IT services from the end user to the core infrastructure globally. Global IT Operations GBS is in Bangalore, India.

The position

The position holder is responsible for day-to-day management of the GBS IT Operations focusing on ensuring operation stability, maintenance and project management of IT infrastructure and security activities. The position holder is also responsible for stakeholder management and liaising with Global IT Teams to deliver on GITO Strategy. Overall, this role carries key responsibilities within stakeholder management, budget management & operational management in GBS. The key responsibilities include:

• First point of IT contact for all stakeholders for any IT Operations services. Ensure IT Infrastructure is up and running in all the GBS Locations. Ensure availability of IT support in all the GBS Locations.
• Ensure all the IT relates issues gets fixed withing the SLAs. End User Device Budget Management for GBS - ensure end user device procurements happens withing the designated EUD budget assigned by GITO.

• IT onboarding - Ensure all the new joiners are onboarded smoothly and End User devices are allocated as per the GITO guidelines and device policy.
• End user Device Readiness (ensure timely imaging and re-imaging of Laptops, iPhone configuration etc.).Hosting Weekly IT launch Pad for New Joiners.
• End user device Life cycle Management - Ensure Asset life cycle is followed and ensure timely replacement of devices as per the GITO budget and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master\'s or Graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration).
• 7+ years of experience with IT operations and/or IT management in a large global company.
• 4+ years of people management experience in a large global company.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Business understanding and ability to create results across business functions.
• Strong knowledge of customer and supplier relations management.
• Strong drive towards continuous improvement.
• Ability to motivate individuals, teams, and organisations to deliver high performance.
• Large degree of flexibility, energy, drive, and ability to manage demanding workload and high stress levels.
• Technical pre-requisites: Solid understanding of IT Operations services and IT Infrastructure (Wi-fi, LAN, VPN).
