Software Compliance Team – Flexera-FlexNet Manager, License Management and User Support.
Job description and areas of responsibility:

Requirement:-
  • Drive Software Compliance across Organization
  • Driving process and system improvements to improve the quality of asset data, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of ITAM processes
  • Create and implement remediation plans based on audit findings
  • Track and improve the quality of ITAM data and metrics; Establish dashboards, KPIs, alerts and other mechanisms to use asset data to drive decisions
  • Track and drive the various ongoing and new programs and projects in the ITAM area
  • Responsibility for managing software license utilization and metering
  • Conduct financial analysis, contract review and utilization reporting, and recommend opportunities for more efficient use of investments in IT assets
  • Responds to escalations/ analyzes data; highlights trends and gaps, and prepares data for business meetings/reviews
  • Analyze defects and develops programs that fix root causes and work with other support/tech/process excellence teams wherever required
  • Develop teams, SMEs/ICs by setting SMART goals and driving developmental plans. Provide regular coaching and feedback and help them grow on functional and process skills
  • Participate in hiring people (both internal and external)
  • Additional responsibilities may involve taking part in analyzing data trends, ensuring process hygiene for ITAM functions, onboarding new processes and running cross program initiatives regarding people engagement.
  • Ability to apply a project management approach to problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components, involve others as needed, drive resolution)
  • Communicate status and act as the central communication point
  • Expericence in driving automation and innovation practices to reduce human efforts.
  • Customer/Onshore/Stakeholders/Senior management facing experience

Mandatory Skills:-
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An Industry Certification such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management (CHAMP) will have an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (especially with Excel)
  • SME on ITAM (SAM) and Software Compliance
  • Knowledge on licensing metrics of various publisher
  • Customer/Onshore/Stakeholders/Senior management facing experience
  • Expericence in driving automation and innovation practices to reduce human efforts.
  • Strong leadership skills on client meetings and calls
  • Ability to drive process improvements
  • Experience in transitions
  • Knowledge of Flexera, FlexNet manager Suite (FNMS)
  • Broad understanding of technologies

BAU Support:
You will be part of Software Compliance team based out of TPLS office in Bangalore, an extended team of Global CIO to provide Software Asset Management and Software Compliance services to Business Units across CGI.

The Software Compliance team is responsible to provide support for the management of key software publishers (Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Quest, etc.) , manage Software Approval Register (SAR) requests, and support CGI’s business by addressing licensing related questions.
You will interact closely with the BU ITAM Leaders, IT departments (ISIT) from various Business Units across CGI, Procurement team, Contract Management Office (CMO), projects teams and our resellers to ensure excellent service in combination with alignment to the CIO guidelines.

More specifically, as a super-user of the enterprise license management tool, Flexera, FlexNet Manager Suite, you will be providing how-to support to the BU ITAM Leaders and BU ITAM Team members on their day-to-day activities. You will be the key person to answer their questions on how to execute a function and/or on the most efficient way to obtain the information they are looking for (License management, report building, etc.).

Further to the tasks above, below are the key responsibilities:
Support day to day Software Compliance operational activities via FNMS
Help perform License Compliance verification for key software publishers (Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, Quest, etc.).
Support maintenance of accurate software asset data and reports as needed.
Support Software Asset Management related activities and internal audits.
Support annual Software True-Up activities across multiple Business Units and reporting.

As you advance in your career:
Advise ISIT teams from various Business Units on optimal license usage.
Provide guidance on licensing related queries from customers across CGI Business Units.
Understand and interpret third party software licensing usage, Enterprise Agreements and provide advice/guidance to the business as appropriate.

Key skills and experience:
Good understanding of third party software licensing & agreements
Knowledge of Flexera, FlexNet manager Suite (FNMS) is definitely an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially with Excel)
Attention to details
Exhibit good communication (both verbal & written) and presentation skills.
