Introduction: This is an Automation Test Analyst role for End-to-End testing from different Barclays channels for projects that require changes to one or several systems. The key purpose of the role is:

• Should be able to understand the requirements and design aspects and design optimal tests. Under minimal supervision, create Manual & Automation test cases scripts using defined framework and design guidelines
• Should be able to contribute to framework level changes, executes Automated Tests and collates evidence for Test automation progress reporting and tracking.
• Articulates the tests executed, data used, the results and defects to project stakeholders

What will you be doing?

• Get involved in requirement and design workshops and support test manager/architect in coming up with high level estimates and scenarios
• Identify automation opportunities for new feature and defining Test strategy around it.
• Provide support in implementing new enhancements in the existing code, maintenance of existing framework and functions, development of new framework if required.
• Need to have exposure in Frameworks like Data Driven, Hybrid, BDD, etc
• Good Java programming skills, for mobile and web automation skills on tool like Selenium, Selenium Grid.
• Should have working knowledge of JIRA for test management and defect management
• Set up and Execute Automated tests and record evidence.
• Constant communication and follow-ups with various stake holders to track deliverable during test automation and dry-run phases where applicable.
• Complete tasks / deliverables within schedule constraints (for self)
• Maintain the documentation on confluence whenever applicable.
• Provide guidance to other team members/functional team on automation queries.
• Participating in daily scrum stand-up meetings, explaining progress and issues encountered.
• Must demonstrate Barclays Values by taking the ownership of the tasks assigned and also going beyond to achieve the objectives
  

What skill we required?

• Graduate with software engineering background, with 6 - 9 years of experience in software automation testing.
• Strong leadership skills required to guide, nurture team and take ownership of the tasks.
• Strong understanding and experience of test automation frameworks Cucumber / Selenium, and experience of using BDD/TDD techniques
• Need to have strong knowledge on Seetest, Java, Jira, Git and Browserstack.
• Need to have expertise in mobile testing.
• Need to get involved in requirement gathering and Test design and come up with high level estimates and scenarios
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to prioritize workloads quickly and efficiently.
• Rich technology experience and good exposure to latest advancements in Testing such as in Mobile, web base application.
• Experience in developing and maintaining new test automation frameworks within large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of cloud Architecture
• Own the test estimates and the IA of the change

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage
• Knowledge on micro services would be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Service Virtualization tools like CA Lisa, Devtest
• Knowledge on DEVOPS tools and process would be an added advantage.
• Good to have DB skills on SQL, Mongo DB, CICD implementation & Jenkins
