Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing.
• The candidate will join an existing QA department and assist in setting up testing processes.
• In this role, the candidate should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills in executing test cases
• Setting up new testing processes for new software
• Setting up and maintain unit tests, integration tests and functional tests
• Setting up security and load tests
• Identifying bugs in new systems and understanding how to resolve it
• Collaborate with QA team to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

Skills Required Mandatory:

• A stats background would be advantageous
• Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role
• Experience in QA methodology
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Selenium)
• Strong skills in SQL and NoSQL — should be able to write complex queries independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills

Educational Background:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field would be preferential
