What this job involves:
Responsible for handling a team size of 10-12 members
Review and approve various types of account payable transactions, due diligence, and release of funds from bank within agreed turnaround time
Ensure prioritisation & urgent payment requests are attended to promptly
Ensure team\'s adherence to turnaround time and accuracy of activities undertaken including any transition in / Out or ad-hoc projects
Effective management of internal & external stake holder while nurturing a good relationship
Ability to positively influence and get tasks completed from not just the team members but the site teams as well
Work as an escalation point for team to highlight challenges, assistance required, etc. to help meet process KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
Ensure 100% compliance to RICS & ISAE guidelines. No exceptions allowed
Work with other Team Leaders in the project to create a culture of collaboration
Proactively raise issues with Process Manager regarding client / team issues as they arise
Undertake monthly and annual performance reviews, conduct interviews as required and leave management
Continuously strive to upskill team from an industry, domain and \'soft skills\' perspective
Drive process improvement initiatives to closure including improvement ideas for accuracy, exceptions, cycle time and lead time
Maintain individual and team production logs as directed by the Manager/ Assistant Manager
Regulate process controls effectively and proactively while continuously assessing the need of control improvement
Communicate effectively and work closely with Site Directors to influence change in processes impacting AP functioning
Coach and mentor team members to ensure all round development of individuals
Smooth month end reporting and MI preparations
Keep the Management fully informed of all potential risks, issues, challenges and KPI misses
Improve and drive a strong MI system to map all KPIs and critical AP metrics e.g., paid on time, PO compliance, AP cycle time, exception rates etc. to enable best in industry benchmark scores

Accounting graduate/M. Com/MBA with excellent verbal and written communication skills
5 \xe2\x80\x93 8 Years of experience in Account Payables
Knowledge of entire Source to Pay cycle and best in industry practices
Experience of real estate environment and accounting would be an added advantage
Understands UK banking platforms and accounting codes used in AP
Candidate should be dynamic and versed with Lean and Operational excellence practices
Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure, prioritise, and manage workload for team while meeting client needs
Engage and communicate clearly, confidently and in a concise manner with internal and external stakeholders and see things from their perspective with solution-oriented approach
Understand training needs. Ability to conduct trainings across a varied set of teams
Able to drive productivity of assigned team members
Demonstrate consistency in values, principles, and work ethics, must be able to inspire and lead a team
Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
Understanding of and commitment to client services, maintain confidentiality of client data
A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work overtime when required
Ability to conduct difficult conversations and demonstrate transparency and fairness

Performance objectives

Ensure the agreed KPI\xe2\x80\x99s (Productivity, Quality and Turn Around Time) are met
Achieve high employee satisfaction scores
Ensure attrition rates are below industry figures
Monitor exceptions processes and devise plan to reduce exception rate
Minimise risk and provide improvement ideas to Supervisor
Zero RICS / ISAE audit findings during internal and external audits
Ensure management reporting as per the pre agreed timelines
