JOB OVERVIEW

This position is part of the Global People Onboarding team and holds responsibility for the onboarding process of new employees on a global scale. It plays a critical role in maintaining Study Group\'s high standards in Safer Recruitment. The role is accountable for delivering an employee-focused onboarding experience that embodies Study Group\'s values and culture right from the beginning.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Global Compliance

  • Coordinating all pre-employment checks for new staff in line with statutory requirements in each jurisdiction as required.
  • Ensuring that pre-employment checks meet compliance criteria in the relevant country and ensuring right-to-work checks are compliant.
  • Maintaining Head Office SCR and enabling colleges and ISCs to maintain theirs (UK Only)
  • Review onboarding data to identify inconsistencies and investigate discrepancies, filing evidence as required.
  • Respond to SCR queries, conducting checks and addressing gaps as required (UK Only)
Stakeholder Management
  • Escalating issues and anticipated delays in onboarding to relevant stakeholders and liaising with line managers, hiring managers and heads of centre to agree to start dates and sign off new starter checklists.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate a seamless transition of candidates from the hiring phase to onboarding. Liaise with the Global People Advisory and Operations Team as necessary.
Risk Management
  • Identifying cases and where it is appropriate to escalate to the Global Safeguarding Panel
  • Identifying requirements for decision logs and Risk Assessments and advising Line Managers in conducting a risk assessment, advising on the preparation of risk assessment paperwork for submission to the Global Safeguarding Panel
Onboarding Operations
  • Preparing dated contracts of employment and sending them to new hires when pre-employment checks are complete.
  • Updating and maintaining HR systems by ensuring that employee personal details and contractual details are entered correctly and liaising with Payroll regarding payroll and benefits matters for new starters.
  • Supporting Global People Onboarding Lead in the development and delivery of onboarding training to Line Managers and other stakeholders.
Change and Continuous Improvement
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the onboarding process.
  • Thinking ahead, pre-empting challenges, and seeking solutions to avoid delays.
Reporting and Monitoring
  • Updating onboarding tracker, enabling reports used across the wider business.
ABOUT YOU
  • Previous global people onboarding experience (desirable).
  • Experience in using MS Office suite to produce letters, and record data (essential).
  • The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary (essential).
  • Ability to communicate with clients and people at all internal and external levels of the organisation (essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (essential)
  • Excellent level of written and oral skills (essential).
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and escalate issues where appropriate (essential).
