What\xe2\x80\x99s the role

As part of Shell IT\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Technology Services and Operations organization whose mission is to provide secure and reliable enterprise-wide IT services for Shell globally, your role as Systems Engineer - Firewall Requests as part of the Traffic Engineering L3 support department will focus on delivery of connectivity services which includes local and wide area networks, network security, voice services and associated technology.

You will play a critical role in ensuring Enterprise Technology Services and Operations Management (ETSOM) meets operational performance expectations by:

• Prepare configuration/Technical Implementation Documentation (TID) for Firewall rule requests.
• VPN configuration and decommissioning.
• Schedule and implement the FW/routing changes for 3rd party access.
• Coordinate and assist other implementation teams.
• Preparing and executing Zscaler changes
• Providing support to Firewall migration activities from Technical Engineering L3 team.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose firewall/proxy related incidents in conjunction with L1/L2 support groups.
• Work on Problem tickets with help of Operation Landscape Manager.
• Supporting Technical Engineering manager and ETSOM staff in developing their technical knowledge in relevant services.

What we need from you

• IT professionals who have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience around 5-9 years in corporate IT specifically in Telecommunication/Security (Cisco, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Palo Alto Firewalls)
• Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler Certified and/or any equivalent certifications is preferred.
• Experience with tools like Panorama, Tufin, Palo Alto XSoar etc.
• Use of automation tools like terraform is an advantage.
• Good communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
