We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will collaborate with the AWS Developer Acceleration (DevAx) team to identify opportunities, plan implementation and engagement models, drive delivery and communicate the results. To be successful in this role, the candidate will be experienced in managing complex, multi-workstream, multi-stakeholder engagements in a fast-paced environment. They will have worked as a program/project manager with a technical background, know when to flag potential issues before they become problems, and have experience integrating the efforts of diverse stakeholder groups through exceptional communication skills. This TPM will need to operate with a startup mentality to support the field teams while building mechanisms to solve recurring business problems. This role will be responsible for incubating, experimenting and scaling our programs across the developer community, engagement and security.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication, influencing skills and will have previously worked with developers, understanding their unique needs while driving outcomes in developer programs. This TPM will take end-to-end ownership of multiple enablement/engagement projects within a single enterprise or across several enterprises, utilizing your communication skills to interface with and influence a range of multi-disciplinary teams (sales, solutions architecture, professional services, training & certification, and partners). The candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, creative, and a self-starter who is able to think big, execute, yet stay focused on the details. The role requires a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. Maturity, excellent judgment, and the ability to influence are critical in this role.
This TPM role is responsible for driving application modernization and developer enablement projects and is a single-threaded owner responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of these projects. This role requires collaboration with the technical program owners to provide robust structure, ensure consistency and functional excellence, and deliver engagement projects related to developer enablement, service adoption, industry trends and the overall developer landscape. You will work closely with the DevAx program leads and PMO to help shape future engagement models. This role also manages the administration and execution of the teams targets, including measurement of goal attainment, driving actionable insights and proposing improvements to the business to drive goal attainment. Qualified candidates have experience defining and managing KPIs using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Candidates should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity to solve problems and deliver successfully with high attention to detail.

Display flexibility to manage shifting priorities and influence in the face of ambiguity. Working with the technology leaders you will define strategic programs for the organization, work with executives from other teams, and create mechanisms to manage business strategy, reporting, and contribute to the effectiveness and productivity of the individual contributor and leaders in the SA organization.

Key job responsibilities
Partner with leaders to define, launch and optimize their goals and strategic initiatives to meet the rapid growth of the business. Identify, initiate and drive the delivery of developer engagement projects in customer accounts against timelines, escalate timely and appropriately within AWS, partner, and customer organizations
Contribute to developer engagement strategy and planning, incl. definition of key milestones and scoping of critical deliverables, program strategy and key performance indicators. Work with DevAx PMO to track delivery of developer engagement projects aligned to team goals against plan
Implement, monitor and analyze success metrics and drive predictability in our operations. Identify pain points and drive adoption of repeatable processes and tools. Own operational cadences, such as monthly business reviews.
Identify innovative initiatives, with high impact on our customers or our organization, and help them scale to other countries and organizations and scale down initiatives for prioritization.
Voice the needs of the SAs and define requirements in terms of tooling, enablement and resources.
Build Security program and case studies in partnership with segments for the different customers, work with stakeholders for execution of events while working on scaling programs (security education & greenfield startups).
A day in the life
On a typical day, you'd be working with several leaders sharing your vision, data and ideas on bringing the best to our customers by prioritising best initiatives, sharing what is working and what is not, and writing your thoughts on taking the team performance to next level. You'd also be working with several of your peers across the world sharing your lessons and learning from their experiences to bring the best to India and share the best from India. You'd also be planning all hands, learning sessions, offsites and other events to build inclusive and open culture.
