Schneider Electric is undergoing a global infrastructure transformation program, led by the Global Technology Services team (GTS). In the role of Sr. Network Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the Network operations in the designated areas and is responsible for the effective and efficient operational support of third-party relationship. Internally need to coordinate with infrastructure and application support teams across all business process. This position oversees several key functions within the Core Network department that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users, and to ensure Service Support processes are in place to meet business needs. This position is a stakeholder facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the Network team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. This individual will have a diversified background of technical infrastructure experience, project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, be an adept leader of people, plus have a service-oriented approach to IT operations.

  • Extensive experience working as an NOC engineer to support Cisco Switching, Routing for LAN, Wifi, Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), SD-WAN.
  • Provide tier 3 network support on escalations from the Technical Support team.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience in Enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless environment.
  • Hands on experience on Cisco Wifi, Cisco ISE and DNAC.
  • Good technical experience on Cisco/HP/Aruba Platform Network solutions.
  • Technical expertise with Wireless protocols, routing protocols and switching technology.
  • Knowledge of MPLS and QoS.
  • Basic knowledge of security technologies.
  • Understanding on IPSec, PNs, GRE, NAT/PAT over varied platforms.
  • Proofing and recommending updates, patches, replacements or upgrades to current NOC Software tools and Monitoring systems.
  • Update network diagrams and document.
Qualifications

Engineers who have a passion and understanding for providing outstanding customer service. This person will be a part of a team of experts who are responsible for handling network/security support, problem management, managing network performance and proactively identifying issues before they become customer affecting. This team provides 24x7 support to its global customer base.
  • Remote management and monitor Network Operations and working with project team for Network Integration.
  • Queue Management - monitor ticket queues, ensure assignment/resolution and closure
  • Support NOC 24x7 for large global clients that have a distributed LAN/WAN/Wireless setup
  • Create MOP/SOP and plan Change Management process
  • Work with Telecommunication Service Providers to resolve circuit problems.
  • Provide Level 2 incident management support.
  • Join customer troubleshooting calls to work with L2/L3 engineers.
  • Plan and perform upgrade of firmware
  • Work with hardware/software vendors to resolve problems
  • Provide technical inputs for weekly/monthly customer service review reports
  • Any additional task given to the incumbent from time-to-time based on business needs.
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION:

Cisco R&S, Wireless CCNA / CCNP

OTHER SKILLS:
  • Good communication skills - written as well as verbal
  • Passion to work and learn new technology
  • ITIL process - awareness
