Summary: WABTEC IT Digital Operation Center (DOC) provides a 24/7/365 service, focusing at High priority issues, Networking Operations, Compute Operations, and Enterprise Tools Operations. Network Operations Specialist will be member of the Wabtec Global Technology Services team highly collaborative with technical Network Support skills and ability to trouble shoot and support L1 and L2 Network operational issues. The candidate will be based out of the Wabtec\xe2\x80\x99s 24*7 Global \xe2\x80\x9cDigital Operations Center\xe2\x80\x9d in Bangalore, India. An Ideal Candidate Will Possess Following: Duties and Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Worked as a Network Operations Engineer in the 24/7/365 operation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide system monitoring, analysis and reporting for an enterprise infrastructure & escalation mgmt. \xe2\x80\xa2 Should have proven experience with one or more System/Network Monitoring and Management tools. \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of Servers & Linux operating systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills. Clear communicator (written and verbal). \xe2\x80\xa2 Result oriented and ready to take ownership. Exhibit strong teamwork qualities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to analyze problems and conduct effective issue diagnosis and recommend systematic steps toward recovery. \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially Incident & Problem Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated. Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others develop. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willing to influence required activities to ensure Network Incident SLA (Service Level Agreements) are met Essential Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of basic ITIL incident ticketing, L1/L2 network troubleshooting and escalation processes \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure stable and reliable network services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Day-to-day network performance monitoring \xe2\x80\xa2 Network troubleshooting and fault analysis Page 2 of 2 \xe2\x80\xa2 Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Usage of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools; identify gaps and recommend solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive carrier resolution if incidents and track root cause analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in monthly reviews of Network Incidents \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the CMDB accuracy and creation of KB Articles & SOP\xe2\x80\x99s. \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow Escalation Process & Create RCA analysis for Network Incidents & contribute to CSI activities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Report on status to leadership Knowledge, Skills and Abilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering with 5 - 7 years Experienced in the Networking and Compute Operation fields \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication skills in English, ability to drive meeting with global Team (US, Europe, India, China, Australia) \xe2\x80\xa2 CCNA/ CCNP Certified \xe2\x80\xa2 ITIL Certified \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with Cisco, HP and/or other Network Hardware Manufacture OEM Configuration \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in network Security, Fortinet Firewall is desirable \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiarity with broad range of Network Monitoring, SD-WAN technology and Ticketing Tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Ready to work in rotational shifts 24/7/365
