What will you be doing? Responsible for the support of the global Networking, Firewall, load balancing, Audio Visual, wireless and IP telephony technologies
As with all large, multiple site, multi-protocol networking environments, problems and change occur. The primary function of the role will be to identify, determine and resolve these issues on an as required basis. In addition to these abilities the role will have:

  • The capability to identify possible network affecting situations, faulty hardware or logical problems.
  • Assess the network and via the use of knowledge and available tools identify and resolve faults.
  • Have the ability to assess any existing network device and review / amend as required in a controlled manner.
  • Take key decisions in respect of the impact of any fault or change on users and existing infrastructure
  • Ensuring all tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner and all company process and procedures are followed
  • Be capable of liaising with other technology, business areas and 3rd party vendors in pursuit of resolving the problem or communicating progress.
The team are also expected to be involved proactive tasks such as delivering new projects

What we’re looking for:
  • CCIE certification and equivalent
  • Solid hands-on Cisco product configuration using IOS, Nexus, ACI, CSP, Firepower
  • Solid hands-on on the following LAN/WAN Protocols & Technologies: (TCP/IP, Multicast, Ethernet, VPN, MPLS, Wireless)
  • Solid hands-on following routing & bridging protocols: (BGP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, Ether-channel)
  • Working knowledge of core networks, transport, internet and firewall platforms
  • Hands-on on Enterprise Wireless Technologies, Remote Access VPN, SSL, Python Scripting, Encryption, DDoS methodology
  • Hands-on Firewall Platform such as Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Products, Juniper
  • Solid hands-on experience on Edge Connect and other equivalent network virtualization products
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise management platforms such as Spectrum, SevOne, Compliance Tools, Netscout
  • Basic Linux shell commands


Skills that will help you in the role:
  • CCIE certification
  • ITIL Practitioner Certification
  • Knowledgeable on change, incident, problem and capacity management framework
  • Experience of working within a large multiple-site, multi-protocol LAN & WAN, preferably within a global financial institution
  • Experience of working with large scale wireless network
  • Experience on control, risk and compliance framework
  • Hands-on Cisco product configuration using IOS, Nexus, ACI, CSP
  • Hands-on experience with the design of multi-national enterprise switches and Layer 3 LAN
  • Working knowledge and design of multicast enabled LAN/WANs
  • Knowledge of infrastructure cabling schemes, medias and technologies used.
  • Working knowledge of Firewall platforms such as Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Products, Juniper
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise management platforms including Spectrum
  • Working knowledge of content switching hardware including F5 BIG-IP, AVI, Proxy, Symantec (Broadcom/Bluecoat), DNS Infoblox
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Wireless Technologies, Remote Access VPN, SSL, Python Scripting, Encryption, DDoS methodology
  • Understanding of SDN technology
