ABOUT THIS JOB


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Learning & Development professional to join the global Talent & Development team at Nielsen.

This individual will be responsible for designing and delivering a number of learning & development initiatives that enable our business and culture transformation. In addition to representing and contributing to enterprise-wide priorities to ensure a “one company” approach, the bulk of the role will be focused on tailoring content to scale and meet the local needs of our APMEA workforce.


This is a critical addition to the team that will provide a “glo-cal” lens to our learning & development initiatives across Nielsen. The Manager, Learning & Development must be strategic, knowledgeable in adult learning strategies, and skilled in delivering content for both in-person and virtual groups. The priorities will be determined in line with the Global Learning & Development Strategy and overall imperative to deliver solutions to develop leaders & people capabilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with broader Talent & Development team to align and contribute to a globally consistent set of priorities
  • Conduct learning needs assessments aligned to organizational strategy and workforce planning needs
  • Collaborate with People Team and business leaders to understand their needs related to training and development by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders in order to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions
  • Build upon existing and create new learning content, as informed by business input and needs assessment
  • Facilitate in-person (primarily within APAC) and virtual training workshops
  • Monitor the success of training programs through various feedback mechanisms and sustainment initiative
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered
  • Implement various learning methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience of working in learning and development as a Training Manager or other relevant position
  • Significant experience with effective adult learning and development methods
  • Experience in project managementGood knowledge of e-learning platforms and practices
  • Practical experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Workspace a plus
  • Experience delivering virtual facilitator-led training and coaching others
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build relations with employees
  • Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking
  • BS or BA degree in Business, Education or other related area
