Purpose & Accountabilities

Purpose of this role is to provide technical support for delivering advanced technical reporting for various data management activities especially in the TAO - Subsurface and WRFM discipline and various businesses within Shell.

This position is part of TAO - Subsurface and WRFM (Technical Reporting) team delivering advanced Data Solution/Data Visualization/Data Quality projects for various businesses within Shell

Responsible for supporting the development of technical models for projects collaborating with different business stakeholders & other partners and working across a range of technologies and tools.

Deliver high-quality Data Solution/Data Visualization/Data Quality rules by Adhering to the required software development standards.

Define project requirements, agree on project milestones, phases and elements; working along the project team.

Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment with the business and IT to complete application development by assisting in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions

Involve in all phases of software development and Develop documentation throughout the life cycle

Maintain and develop codebase, troubleshooting bugs, resolve issues and enhancements.

Perform Peer code review, suggest improvements and assist them to deliver quality deliverables with the minimum standard.

Adopt and Implement best practices in coding, unit testing and test cases.

Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational

Ability to work independently and with others

Skills and Requirements:

Degree/master's in information management (degree in relevant Oil & Gas discipline an advantage). A keen desire and ability to learn new things and assimilate knowledge will be essential

2+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies, specifically: .NET/ASP.NET development, Angular JS/Bootstrap, MVC architecture, C#, SQL Server, HTML5 is a must.

Proficient in webservices, JSON/XML, RESTful and SOAP, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery.

Excellent in coding standards, code reviews and debugging skills.

Knowledge on Azure platform, Virtual Machines and hosting methodologies is a plus.

Knowledge on SDLC process, Agile methodologies and Project Management principles.

Good understanding of Data modeling and its concepts would be an Asset.

Work in a team-oriented environment with the business and IT to complete application development by assisting in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions

Maintain and develop codebase (TFS, GitHub)

Work cooperatively with other groups and 3rd party vendors to implement business solutions

Maintain and develop codebase, to include troubleshooting bugs, resolve issues and add new features

Working with multiple stakeholders' effective cooperation with technical and non-technical audiences.

Working across a complex landscape of Applications which often have subtly different processes and approaches in different OUs.
