  • India lead for Technical Data Deliveries (Pune).
  • Barclays data domain specialist who will implement strategic improvements for the management and availability of data for BtB and RtB and influence senior stakeholders to ensure data is treated as a core asset of the bank.
  • Accountable for defining, agreeing and rolling out data solutions roadmap and managing successful deliveries across Corporate transaction cycles.
  • Ensure all solutions delivered meet the control, and service frameworks of the data team and are in accordance with the defined service operating model
  • Work with data leadership team on the formulation and roll-out of a strategic data solutions framework for the data services offered by the team which will facilitate customer self-serve, decrease manual intervention and increase automation through leveraging Dev Ops, the enterprise toolset and best practice

What will you be doing?
  • Owner and accountable executive for the data solutions roadmap and maintenance of alignment with the customer’s, team’s, department’s and organisation’s strategic roadmaps.
  • Ensuring all data solutions deliveries are in governance with the data management frameworks (service and control).
  • To take ownership of the data management solutions offered into Corporate Transaction Cycles, liaising with stakeholders on a day to day basis for both execution and the SMEs who manage the Non Production estate.
  • To contribute to the lifecycle of data solutions that enable the management delivery of the data services offered by the team.

What we’re looking for:
  • The role requires an experienced, high calibre lead with good technical engineering skills / digital product knowledge in the finance industry to work with business stakeholders and key suppliers to deliver data solutions to agreed time, quality and cost parameters.
  • Experience with Automation tools, frameworks and methodologies (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, Load Runner, RIT), etc.
  • Must have domain knowledge and experience in one or more core banking domains and product platforms/systems such as accounting and clearing, general ledger, customer & risk systems, debit cards, credit cards, mortgages, loans, payments, etc.

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Knowledge and experience of the complexities of data flow across transaction cycles, business units and within a bank’s legal entities is highly advantageous (i.e. customer journeys and data lineage across core data entities)
  • Experience delivering data augmentation solutions demonstrating strong analysis skills and understanding of regular expressions, use of functions/sub-programmes etc.
  • Knowledge of programming language/scripting beneficial: SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Python, Java, UNIX Shell Scripting to support File Management, etc.
