Job Description

Job Purpose:

• Working with the company\'s sales teams, the Presales Consultant is responsible for providing presales technical support to the sales teams and presenting tailored demonstrations / proof of concepts or qualification discussions to partners and end customers. The Presales Consultant also assists the sales teams with qualifying opportunities and helping expand existing opportunities through solid questioning. The Presales Consultant will also be responsible on conducting technical presentations and trainings on the related products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Teams up with internal sales teams for enabling and develops the channel so as to drive business effectively via the network of Tech Data\'s Channel partners and thus achieves the organization\'s business targets on the assigned Solution Practices.
• Understands the customer\'s business and technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and design an effective solution.
• Provides pre-sales technical support and deliver product demonstrations / Proof of Concept (POC) and technical presentations to customers and business partners.
• Deliver trainings to partners on products and solutions.
• Contribute to and refine technical RFP and RFI responses.
• Coordinating and managing demo / POC assets.
• Solely or partnering with other pre-sales consultants to support business teams for creating BOM (Bill of Material).
• Provides technical assistance on specific growth initiatives and marketing activities: regional workshops, sales seminars and trade shows etc.
• Increases the reach & readiness of Tech Data within the given territory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• >1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience is required.
• Required Education: Associate Degree in IT related programs.
• Vendor or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Must have good fundamental knowledge and understanding of related products and technologies and is able to build solutions on the same platform.
• Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
• Good Communication skills (Both written and oral).
• Able to quickly learn/adapt to new systems and technology.
• Seeks to build high customers satisfaction (internal and external).
• Business Acumen.
• Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed.
