Job Title Specialist, IT Support

What does a successful Transmissions Engineer do at Fiserv?

• SFTP Transmissions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions related to data/file transmission between multiple systems, along with supporting and optimizing file transfer both inbound and outbound. Activities include analyzing the business and technical requirements.
• Analyzing the business and technical requirements, designing the build specifications basis the standard tools, developing, implementing the solutions, and commissioning Go-live.
• Candidate will be supporting the latest technology in a multi-client, multi-facility environment and fixing day-to-day transmissions failures.
• The role is required to be performed from Fiserv India offices providing overlap with US working hours, hence working from 7AM to 11PM (IST) shift for all 7 days in a week on a rotational basis.

What You will do:

• Understand the business & technical requirements, design the specifications, develop, and implement solutions related to data/file transmission between multiple systems leveraging SFG (Sterling File Gateway), Connect Direct on different platforms.
• Create Transmission JCL and scripting on Mainframe and midrange environments.
• Communicate directly with clients, test files, research file failures and provide advanced problem identification and resolution.
• Set up and analyze the transmission process, abends, and resolves issues with clients.
• Provide solutions to unique setups on SFG, working with clients and internal Application teams.
• Develop, configure, implement file transfer solutions basis the standard file transfer protocols like SFTS, FTPS, Connect Direct, AS2, S3 etc
• Support application developers and business users in a consulting role.
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless RCA\xe2\x80\x99s.

What you will need to have:

• 4-8 years of Strong expertise in SFTP & other File Transmission protocols and industry standard tools along with hands on experience
• Experience with SFG Sterling File Gateway or MOVEIt. Though working knowledge of MOVEIt will be added advantage.
• Experience with designing, development, implementation, optimization of file transmission systems
• Experience in file transfer protocol - SSH / SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, Connect Direct, SSL Certificate and key build and implementations.

• Working knowledge on Network Connectivity including connectivity troubleshooting and Windows Debugging
• Technical Product Implementation (Windows Administration functions)
• Microsoft VB scripts: must be able to decipher and troubleshoot existing VBScripts and be able to write up multiple step script.
• Understanding of file encryption standards, PGP, GPG, cipher suites and PKI.
• Work on Medium to Large projects independently
• Good communication skills to speak with the Business Partners are essential and non-negotiable for this position.
• Ability to efficiently multitask and prioritize work, juggling daily support responsibilities with multiple project/product driven activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

What would be great to have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Business or equivalent degree is desirable.
• Organization and multi-tasking skills that strike a balance among validation / verification, requirements analysis, customer interaction and project oversight.
• Strong technical and service level abilities
• Experience of Operation in Unisys (Mainframe) and IBM iSeries (Midframe)
• Any experience with Fiserv Premier and other 3rd Party data warehousing applications and products
• Prior experience in Banking and Finance domain in general.
