As a Technology Solution Architect, you will advise senior clients while defining and leading significant transformation efforts for Capgemini’s clients. The Architect role integrates customer and market perspectives, with best practices for people, process and technology enablement to deliver well-defined business benefits. The role requires the ability to think critically, moving from problems/issues to root causes, to solutions and compelling business cases
Provide leadership across the group Financial Services account portfolio - to deliver one or more services provided within the FS Transformation practice
Work as part of a global team of architects to define technology direction for Capgemini clients
Collaborate across multiple practices for larger scale solutions
Lead initiatives and teams of consultants
Act as a bridge between business and technology
Advise on technical best practice for cloud and application enablement (integration, data management, SRE practices) from logical architecture through to physical architecture (i.e. selection products and technologies)
Primary Skill
7-12+ years technology, architecture and FS experience – (Ideally across banking, payments, insurance, cards and capital markets sub-sectors)
Application integration (middleware) common services (inc asynchronous /synchronous messaging, event streaming, data storage and management)
End to end agile infrastructure architecture across all layers
Logical and Physical Data modelling
Scalable architectures
Web applications servers (Apache HTTP Server & Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere)
Service architecture - Experience of API and service-based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, micro-services and utilizing JSON for web or mobile applications
Enterprise scale distributed NoSQL solutions including MongoDB, in-memory databases and caching solutions adopted for globally distributed Digital solutions
CI/CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Stash, SonarQube, Performance centre
Methods and delivery - DevOps processes and experience. Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery including Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, XP
High availability and contingency solutions
Secondary Skill
Some experience of TOGAF and/or Zachman frameworks
