The Software Project Lead is responsible for the planning, execution and follow-up of a SW project. The Project Lead will comply with SW department processes and follow the priorities and schedules defined by project\xe2\x80\x99s R&D PM.

Strong Communicator

To be an effective SW PM, concise communications is key within the SW team itself and also reporting up to the R&D PTM and across the other Function Owners delivering within the project.

Able to coach other Sw PLs

Able to lead full project comprising multiple Sw Project Leads

Responsible for driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously

Good Planning

Updated project planning documents including resource forecasting

In charge of the robust project execution in line with the project\xe2\x80\x99s targets

Skilled and experience in applying Valeo Smart Methodology to multiple projects

Own the project execution and delivery process, including how to deliver iteratively

Reports progress and resources to SW Dept and project weekly

Contributing to process development as required

Customer Facing

Work with different stakeholders to define requirements

Represent the SW team at the customer level so will need to have customer experience previously

Overall responsibility of the successful management of the SW project and reporting up into the R&D PTM

Supports R&D PM for customer interface in SW issues

Detailed scheduling and budgeting

Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipments, investments

Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones and a have a good understanding of the required resources needed to deliver project tasks

Exhibits excellent judgment

Deliver SW projects on time, within scope and on budget

Management of the contributors

Daily management of SW project

Understand how to design scalable software

Have an entrepreneurial spirit

Strong results orientation

Drive innovative solutions that achieve group goals and align with long-term roadmaps

Assign tasks and work packages to SW team members

Aligns external deliveries to manageable integration tasks

Competence Profile for the Job Code

Education

Minimum Degree in engineering preferably in the fields of electronics / computer science
Master of Science in Computer sciences or Software Engineering or equivalent domain preferable

PMP certification is plus

Professional Experience

Min 7 years experience preferably in automotive embedded software
Min 9 years of relevant SW project management, methodologies and software experience / Min 2+ years as Sr Sw PL in Valeo
Strong leadership skills / potential
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, enforcement assets and focus on results
Fluent knowledge of English
Ability to manage projects across multiple timezones / cross-cultural cooperation
Automotive SPICE experience is an advantage
