We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide leadership and innovation by specializing in Service Management processes.
  • Provide monitoring of daily activities to ensure policy and standards are enforced by the team.
  • Review and understand information produced by other IT Service Management teams.
  • Undertake analysis and follow-up of service performance, incident and change data to identify and address systemic/thematic trends and patterns of disruption/failure.
  • Build and support effective working relationships and engage with key stakeholders to proactively drive enduring operational Service protection & Quality improvements and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes as per business needs and operational efficiency goals.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement objectives defined by the IT Service Management managers.
  • This role requires the incumbent to take ownership of assigned tasks and execute them as per agreed timelines and with minimal supervision
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Operational experience and knowledge of IT Service Management principles and methodologies including change, problem and service level management, in the financial industry or large blue-chip IT organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HSBC IT Service Management tools and best practice techniques, including experience in Data Analysis, MI/Reporting processes and working with BI tools
  • General technical understanding of IT software, hardware, networks and operations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to convey risks and implications and influence teams to deliver positive operational outcomes.
  • Solid customer orientated partner/stakeholder interaction, including experience interacting with colleagues in higher positions.
  • A gatekeeper/guardian/protectionist mind-set
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Good working knowledge on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Cognos and Service Now.
