The Job At-A-Glance:

As a technical writer for Products, you are expected to master the technical writing principles, and acquire and analyse product information to develop clear and comprehensive user documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of roles, processes, and procedures within the team and across the functions.
  • Assist the product teams in creating products\xe2\x80\x99 documentation with high degree of accuracy and usability.
  • Provide documentation assistance to product teams in terms of editing and reviewing documents, in discussion with your manager.
  • Complete work to agreed schedules and organize own time efficiently.
  • Operate independently and as part of a team.

As part of the Technical Communication team, you will:
  • Assess the impact of product functionality on existing user-facing content and enhance the help content accordingly.
  • Perform first-level usability testing of the product as part of validating the functionality prior to content creation.
  • Write usable and comprehensive content that complies with the organizational writing standards.
  • Review work with stakeholders and apply suggested changes accurately. Apply corrections from the review and editorial process to enhance the content quality.
  • Understand the documentation standards of the organization and contribute to building those.
  • Participate in the product design process and provide feedback into the product functionality and usability through UI and message reviews.
  • Contribute significantly towards taking the documentation quality and standards to the advanced levels.
  • Make suggestions towards improvising the processes within and across the teams and devise plans to implement those


Experience and knowledge:
  • A graduate or post graduate degree, preferably in Finance or Information Technology.
  • Quotient to understand the financial concepts.
  • At least five years of strong technical writing experience with product companies of equal caliber.
  • Degree or experience in Finance domain is a huge plus.
  • Strong experience in MadCap Flare or any XML-based tool.
  • Experience in DITA concepts and implementation.
  • Good working knowledge on the API documentation and Cloud concepts.
  • Knowledge about Photoshop or any equivalent image-capturing tool.
  • Knowledge about video documentation.
  • Working knowledge of UI/UX testing.
  • Strong command over spoken and written English.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Interest in researching different products and technologies.
  • An innovative and technical mindset.
