Dimension of FunctionThis position w ould be working within the Engineering Research and Development area of Tata Technologies and specifically on Vehicle Programmes.C ontactsEEE CoE, ER&D, Customer/Client Management, Offshore teams, FinanceArea of Responsibility You will provide on site leade rship and coordination on customer site on behalf of the Electrified Powertrain domain and Electronics and Electrical System Integration within the Electrical Engineering (EE) Department. Technically co-ordination of the HV system on site, in support of the dom ain lead, to support the wider team\'s technical deliverables, assisting with planning, reporting on progress and providing expert knowledge in the area of HV Powertrain electronics and EV Charging. Ensuring on time delivery and working to the highest standards possible. This will involve working across technical specialisms, adopting new processes and acting as the main point of contact for your specialist area. Technical ownership is expected for the following regionso HV Distribution systems and LV power managemento EV Charging Systems and Energy Conversiono ISO15118 and other relevant charging standardso SW integration of the ePWT systemo Ve hicle level testing and analysis for the system To co-ordinate a multidisciplined internal and supplier team within a very challen ging, fast paced delivery/launch environment. Must have ability to be extremely flexible, proactive and demonstrable ability to organize and co-ordinate multiple complex issues within short deadlines. You will support the team in technical discussions, with clea r system level understanding, ensure robust design validation processes through the application of a robust system engineering approach. This will the implementation of standard product development norms DFMEA, robust DVP, Root cause analysis (8D) etc, Assist, p lan and co-ordinate the validation of all systems/products such that they are compliant to the engineering requirement deck and traceability is taken through to DVP/DVPR and vehicle test scenarios. This will involve knowledge of Charging System Standards, validation methods and understanding of power electronics functional testing, understanding of the charging sub-system test requirements (on component and vehicle level etc.). Support the team in the interrogation of supplier design documentation (design reviews, DFMEA, FUSA, Functional analysis), requirements definition and DVP review. Support global discussions regarding system interactions, m anagement of late change introduction to ensure the system implementation has the lowest impact to programme delivery. Support fa ilure analysis for vehicle testing and supplier DVP failure analyses/8D to ensure a robust root cause analysis process and corrective action planning. Ensure subsystems and components meet agreed programme targets including cost and take appropriate action to c ontrol, identify and report cost risks and opportunities as soon as they are known. Provide mentoring to the TTL team in the prov ision of HV, Powertrain and Electrical System Integration skills.Knowledge / ExperienceIn a delivery role, you will need to be c omfortable meeting new customers and developing relationships, working closely with our commercial and sector leaders, and operating within the Global Vehicle Programs and Development group to deliver business. Working internally, you will need to demonstrate best working practices and able to deliver clear written and verbal processes and standards. Technically, you will have experience in design and development within the automotive Electrical and Power Electronics systems sector, although other areas of relevant technology development may also be considered. You will be able to impart your technical knowledge with ease, conviction and credibility to our customers and your colleagues. You will require a good understanding and working knowledge of:1. Complex electrical / elec tronic systems integration and the use of advanced technologies2. Power electronics design and Design for EMC3. Validation of HV s ystems and appropriate legislation for EV charging systems 4. Working in multi discipline, multi-national engineering teams5. Auto motive development processes6. Conventional, Hybrid and Electric vehicle architectures7. Use of vehicle testing and analysis tools (Vector tools etc.) is highly desirable but not mandatory8. On Vehicle EE systems for electrified powertrains9. Degree in enginee ring or related technical discipline, and preferably with 10. a higher qualification, (Master\'s Degree or equivalent)11. Strong tr ack record of delivering significant high value business and delivering to very tight timescales12. Driven to delivering high quali ty projects, on time and budget, beyond customer expectations.13. A minimum of 10 years\' relevant automotive industry experience, p referably within OEM, Tier 1 or consultancy businessCompetences1.
