This position will be a lead role for an existing early innovation project which has received extremely positive feedback from stakeholders including the CTO. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with other world class innovators and understand the dynamics of building new technology in a \'startup like\' context within a large and mature company. The project has great visibility across the company with upcoming showcases to the industry. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing Within your first 6 months . Ramp up on our code base, architecture, and development methodologies. . Work closely with our UI/UX experts, designers, and product managers to create visionary edge-based fleet management products. . Gain a basic understanding of some key VMware technologies and domains by attending internal training, reading technical material, and having conversations with peers and team members. . Collaborate with backend engineers to help design and create APIs for your interfaces to consume . Receive mentoring and guidance from your senior teammates. . Contribute to product direction and design discussions. . Gain a deeper understanding of Angular as you improve existing and work on new components designed to work across many end user products. After 6 months+ . Work alongside your senior teammates in designing and developing new components and initiatives. . Cocreate and co-present technical presentations and partner with other teammates on advocacy and adoption initiatives. . Investigate and constantly improve scalability, performance, and reliability of the UI platform The Work: What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis The successful candidate will be expected to code, perform code reviews and work closely with the backend development team. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly with design, engineering and product in order to realize a delightful interface for our users.
