Providence is looking for a Senior Manager of Full Stack Engineering. In this role, you will manage enterprise architecture and engineering delivery in support of various homegrown and third-party platforms and tools we use to solve current and future marketing needs. The Marketing Platforms Team (part of the Digital Innovation Group) is responsible for architecting, enhancing, and maintaining all platforms (third-party and in-house) that support the needs of marketing tactics and digital experience. The Senior Manager of Full Stack Engineering will be responsible for developing and evolving our marketing technology to enable a single view of our customer inclusive of data identity stitching, coupled with marketing tools for personalization and advanced automation. This role will recommend and scale a marketing enterprise architecture based on best practices in data and platform architecture practices. The position will drive the build of a data process that collects, connects, centralizes, and curates data from various internal and external sources to marry systems together an enable our internal customers to market the most efficient and relevant way possible.

You will work with a team of data enthusiasts, who are reaching across the Healthcare-IT-aisle to marry medical history with modern marketing technology while respecting the patient's autonomy and HIPAA rights. From day one you'll need to effectively balance day-to-day business needs with larger strategic initiatives that the team is working on, and provide your expertise.

What will you be responsible for?

The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills in full stack development, manage, nurture, and lead an engineering team.

Candidate should be adept at applying her/ his experience with a focus on problem solving and building an E2E system. Candidate should be highly collaborative and have a strong drive for high quality.
  • Understanding how to optimize the delivery of code and assets with partner teams and managers
  • Ability to synthesize business requirements and guide the authoring of technical requirements, to define assumptions and constraints, and manage a team to deliver a work product that meets the business question
  • Lead a team of passionate engineers, developing and coaching them to higher performance, collaboration, and engagement.

Quality
  • Designs to be driven based on architecture parameters like Performance, Security, Reliability Scalability, HA and Configurability
  • Collaborate, Influence stake holders to drive decision making and accelerate roadmaps
  • Promote Reusing/ Sharing the code across different components
  • Deep understanding and participation in defining the capabilities and implied business tradeoffs for different technical approaches
  • Provide guidance to the team on Technology, Solutioning and Problem solving
Essential Functions:
  • Conceptual and technical knowledge of full stack - understand the frontend (the consumer-facing website/provider-facing website (EMR)) and backend (what collected in database)
  • Developing and maintaining internal software tools, understanding the risks and operational support required
  • Experience writing low-level and high-level code
  • Manages and mentors individual contributors, providing ongoing feedback that helps the team improve their performance. Differentiates different performance levels, skills, and personal currency in management style.
  • Develops and oversees technical solutions that are in line within technical policy and partners with Marketing Platform leadership to proactively manage technology risk
  • Own and lead the development of modern data architectures: event driven architecture, data democratization, platform approaches to machine learning/ AI at scale, stream processing and integrating real time analytics into customer applications.
  • Conduct code reviews with team members. Ensure acceptance criteria is met within technical User Stories.
  • Provide expertise in defining data structures, data layer and data integration practices for business intelligence or for operational uses.
  • Provide data governance practices in data administration, data integration and data modeling.
  • Understands, influences, and supports the technical realization of department goals and the overall technical roadmap
  • Advocates for processes that monitor data sources for anomalies and support rapid resolution for affected business processes
  • Partners with subject matter experts where needed to resolve technical issues, create new processes, or design technical solutions
Who are we looking for?
  • 12+ years of experience in technical roles, solid shipping experience
  • 7+ years relevant experience with large, complex organization managing system architecture across multiple operating systems, languages, and frameworks
  • 7+ years advanced knowledge in any programming language (C#, Java, Python preferable), SQL (T-SQL/ Snow-SQL/ etc...) and JavaScript
  • At least 5 years knowledge of Cloud integrations in Azure (preferred) or other, cloud warehousing, and software application builds
  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience as a technology and architecture leader driving large technology roadmaps to align with organizational goals
  • Ability to nurture and grow talent
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Fluent in Azure & Microsoft .NET Stack, Web Applications & API Development, Service & Platform Management, E2E Life Cycle Management & DevOps. Experience in Sitecore/ Content Management Systems is preferable
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
