Job Description

Business Context:

1. The group keeps evaluating various M&A opportunities and track M&A activities in the industry like any large corporate would do.

2. Group Assurance and Risk function supports various entities in identification and management of risks. This also includes managing certain projects which are led at the group level. As the risk function matures, it is intended that an assessment of risk functions within each of the companies is periodically carried out to assess the efficacy of the function.

3. Group Assurance and Risk function support in consistency and standardization of accounting matters and policies and review the internal audit reports.

4. Group Assurance and Risk function is driving forums at a group level and publishes risk dashboard on a periodic basis

Job Purpose:

1. Preparation of Risk dashboard and KRIs monitoring for insurance companies on a periodic basis. Discussion and alignment with the relevant stakeholders to ensure publishing the risk dashboard at Group level;

2. Evaluation of various accounting practices and principles are important and it\'s necessary to apply the technical knowledge to identify the gaps if any and promote the standardization of the accounting practices across the Group;

3. The role shall assist in assessing the effectiveness of the risk function of the group companies. The role shall also require significant interaction / engagement with the group companies;

4. Assistance in driving digital data protection workgroup, monitoring the actionable of these forums and coordination with various department across the group companies for effective implementation

5. Assistance in review of internal audit reports for the group companies and identifying the key observations & risk associate

Key role:

- KRIs monitoring of insurance entities monthly.

- Risk review of selected areas of BFSL (including special project) and AMC;

- Review of accounting policies of insurance entities and consolidated financial statements which includes consistency and harmonization of all the group entities.

- Involvement in update on Ind AS 117 and Risk based capital and providing inputs on Ind AS 117

- Review of internal audit reports of insurance companies (quarterly basis

Accountabilities Major Activities

Assurance

- Review of accounting practices and analysing the transactions/specific accounting standard implications

- Identifying the accounting topics which can be covered for the review at a group level for consolidation, insurance companies and BFSL and review of accounting policies for these entities (including consolidated financial statements),

- Assisting in review of internal audit reports and business review and identifying the risk and mitigants

- Involvement in update on Ind AS 117 and Risk based capital and providing inputs on Ind AS 11

Risk effectiveness

- Assist in assessing the effectiveness of the risk function of the group companies and drive in risk review of selected areas of BFSL (including special project ) and BFS AMC .

- Review of macro economy factors and assisting in identification and managing the risk out of these;

- Assisting in identifying key emerging risk for insurance companies

- Interaction / engagement with the group companies.

- Leading in other risk projects like BAGIC ORM Periodical reporting

- Preparation of risk dashboard and monitoring KRIs of insurance companies

- Review the RMC presentations for BFS and providing inputs for the continuous updates

- Assistance in driving digital data protection workgroup, monitoring the actionable of these forums and coordination with various department across the group companies for effective implementation

Relevant and total years of Experience

- 3+ years of post-qualification experience

- Understanding of accounting standards, accounting practices, economy, financial service business & competitive landscape and risk
