Job Description


Position Summary with Job Responsibilities To create operate & maintain infrastructure facilities & equipments(mechanical) for smooth plant operations within given budgets & timelines while adhering to statutory requirements Creation of Infrastructure & Facilities Plan the preliminary infrastructure and equipment details of the new project based on factory layout and utilities requirements by the Planning department while adhering to various legal compliances Facilitate the feasibility study to adopt alternatives using innovative technologies & practices in line with the budget requirements Propose the preliminary budget plan based on the inputs from the planning team and obtain necessary approvals Finalize the detailed infrastructure designs requiring civil works and forward to the Planning department for final approvals prior to execution Recommend technical specifications and coordinate with the Purchase Department/Supplier for timely delivery of materials & equipments on a periodic basis Identify, estimate & allocate the resource pools( manpower, machinery, equipments etc) of the vendor to different sub areas in the various phases Finalize broad timelines for major sub phases and review progress against the planned schedules on a weekly basis along with Construction & Planning department Monitor and control the execution of project activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule on a daily basis Operation & Maintenance of Facilities Propane Yard / Petro / Diesel facility management Compressed Air & HVAC System. Review the preventive maintenance(PM) and condition monitoring(CM) schedules prepared by the service providers and make necessary changes(if required) on a monthly basis Review the adherence to the preventive maintenance(PM) and condition monitoring(CM) schedules on weekly basis Coordinate with CMS & Purchase departments for timely availability of machinery spares & consumables (in case of obsolescence etc) on a weekly basis Review the performance of various service providers as per service contract guidelines on a weekly basis Take necessary corrective actions in case of issues highlighted by the user departments during operation and maintenance activities for the provided facilities on a regular basis Verify bills provided by the vendors/service providers and facilitate release of payments/penalties by the Finance Department on a monthly basis Provide resources and technical guidance to the service providers for their maintenance activities on a case to case basis Vendor Park Facility Management Support the vendors in availing utilities (other than power) by coordinating with external agencies on a case to case basis Provide technical support at the vendor facilities in case of major breakdowns in order to ensure uninterrupted supplies Participate in vendor meetings along with other departments (Construction, Security etc) to resolve the issues on a monthly basis Education BE/B Tech in Mechanical Work Experience 10-12 Years Tata Motors Leadership Competencies Customer Centricity - Anticipating, understanding and focusing efforts on meeting the customer (stakeholders) needs or expectations Developing Self and Others - Recognizing continuous development is essential for success and taking steps to develop self and helping others to excel Driving Execution - Translating strategy into action and execution Leading by Example - Encouraging and following ethical standards Leading Change - Recognizing the need for change, initiating and adapting to change Motivating Self and Others - Inspiring teams and individuals Functional Competencies Functional-Carrying out System Audit w.r.t.
