The Technology transformation of Maersk will enable the Maersk business strategy to become the global integrator of container logistics through digitising the Maersk business processes and customer engagement. The Technology Function is fundamental to enable the company\'s transformation and in response to this demand, our in-house technological capability is growing exponentially. We are recruiting world class talent to ensure that the technology services are modernised to enable Maersk to become a logistics integrator leveraging a competitive advantage through technology. The Engineering Manager formally manages 2-4 scrum teams (e.g. in terms of performance management) and provides the technical direction. The Engineering Manager is responsible for quality assurance e.g. code and feature quality. Work with organisational resources outside team to remove impediments and protect them from organizational bureaucracy. The Engineering Manager coaches the team and the Platform Product Owner on the Agile process, such as writing useful user stories and managing the backlog. Your Responsibilities Responsible for establishment and standardization of UX components to be leveraged by solution delivery teams You will help bring in more automated, easy to understand and faster to deliver applications that are more intuitive and need lesser training for users by establishing best practices in user research, design, journey mapping and UX components Responsible for scoping and planning of UX projects Responsible for leading and setting up the system and the process to ensure optimal UX analysis and design can be achieved. Enables transformation of ideas, business opportunities, research, and creative vision into desirable outcomes for our users Lead a team that will create detailed wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, information architecture diagrams, mental models, personas, usability testing stimulus, and site maps Lead a team to plan and conduct interviews to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points Ensure consistent user journeys and experiences for customers and internal users Your Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity candidates will have the following capabilities: Nice to have - An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream - Computer Science preferred. Nice to have - Domain knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics industry Fluency with design tools, most notably Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision, Axure RP, OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and/or other UX and prototyping software. Knowledge of agile practices, design thinking, visual design, interaction design, information architecture, and design industry trends Demonstrates excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation reaching out when needed to resolve issues. Shows strength in negotiation both internally and externally to ensure successful resolution of issues prior to escalation, ensuring that the wider business imperative is not undermined. 12+ years of experience in IT industry, with strong hands-on UX Exposure to varied development methodologies - Waterfall, Agile, DSDM. Ability to independently drive change within the team that will improve the overall efficiency and throughput. Drives a data culture by inherently using data driven insights to dissect business problems and builds business case that solidly rests on strong data. A clear understanding of the business imperatives and how they align with the wider company strategy. Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tacticallywith excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to understand design thinking and be the bridge between UX and Developers to build compelling experiences
