About the Business Unit:

SAP stands for Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing. SAP is widely acclaimed ERP package used in large or medium size enterprises to integrate the processes across various functions such as Sales, Purchase, Finance and HR etc. It is a business software package designed to integrate all areas of a business and provide an end to end solutions for financials, manufacturing, logistics and distribution etc.
When it comes to IT, the backbone for our company is an SAP enterprise resource planning system that incorporates the key business functions of the whole organization.

The key business functions includes: All customer orders created for books, journals, digital content and open access to customer payments (receivables), other purchases and payments (payables) and all other financial transactions are carried out by users across the globe in SAP. In a nutshell, SAP system in Springer Nature is a central system which is connected to other springer applications and all direct and indirect transactions are being handled in SAP. For ex. Books purchases by customers on and have a customer order created in SAP.

SAP CRM Delivery & SalesForce CRM includes seamless and personalized customer experiences across all channels like Sales, Marketing, Service and e-commerce department of Springer Nature to increase the revenue and to help in better customer service, SAP BI provides self-service data visualization and predictive analytics for large volumes of data available in SAP central component(SAP ECC) and SAP PI (Process Integration) is an integration platform which provides seamless integration between SAP, non-SAP systems and even to 3rd party systems.

Here at Springer Nature Technology and Publishing Solutions, a team of 70 people are providing services to Springer Nature business in different areas of SAP namely:

• SAP Technical - ABAP/4 Development
• SAP BI (Business Intelligence)
• Salesforce CRM & SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
• SAP PI (Process Integration)
• SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
• SAP FI/CO (Finance and Controlling)
• SAP BASIS - System Administration

USP of SAP team: We deliver global solutions using cutting edge technology from SAP and offer innovative solutions to Springer Nature business across geographies. Handle small and medium large projects in with Agile methodology to cater to business needs and requirement of Springer Nature business and processes in SAP ECC, PI, CRM, BI, SD, FICO and BASIS areas.

Job Title: Senior Development Consultant I/II - SAP ECC

Years of experience: 4.5 to 7 years

Job Location: Tower 9, Magarpatta City, Pune (Working in Hybrid Model)

Education Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc/ M.Sc/ BCA/ MCA / Any Graduate

Must Have:

• Proficiency in ABAP Technologies - ABAP Workbench, ABAP Data Dictionary, Report Programming, Data Migration, Screen Programming, SAPscript ,Smart forms, Authorizations, ALE/IDOC, Workflow, Performance Tuning, Webdynpro ABAP, OO ABAP, Database Updates, Enhancements & Modification, BAPI, and BADI, ALV Reports, BDC, LSMW, Conversions
• Very Strong to S4 HANA ABAP developments and worked in real time environment in HANA projects
• Experience on ABAP CDS , BOPF & AMDP
• Experience on ABAP Programming for Fiori Application
• Experience on SAP Odata
• Exposure in Outputs area, Smartforms and Adobe experience is required
• Serve as a fully seasoned, technically proficient resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written in English are required.
• Self-motivated, capable to manage own workload with minimum supervision.
• Exposure to agile development methodologies like SCRUM would be an added advantage

Good to have:

• Domain Knowledge in SD, MM and FI modules
• Involvement in Implementation and Support projects
• SAP Certification is advisable
• Team Handling

• Creating complex, enterprise-transforming applications within a dynamic, progressive, technically diverse environment
• Ensures our solutions address the business needs of the business sponsors/leaders
• Using the latest tools and techniques, thrives in a role that will involve hands-on coding, usually in a pair programming environment
• Contribute to project and team priorities and find innovative ways to meet objectives
• Influence, scope and help estimate project streams/work.
• Keep up to date with the business domain and work closely with business stakeholders
