Our users rely on our products to deliver real-time, highly complex information in a way that they need, when they need it. This is delivered via desktop, mobile and web. They offer fantastic opportunities for designers to really push the bounds of what is possible and deliver outstanding experiences for our customers. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Design Manager, you will: Manage a large distributed multi-disciplinary team. You are an assured leader and a role model for the team you are working with Be dependable and accountable for the team's timely delivery of the right business outcomes Partner with other design managers, product managers and engineers to define the vision, create and prioritize the product roadmap Support your team in defining, monitoring and delivering against a set of specific and measurable objectives Connect the dots across product areas to create a cohesive and scalable conceptual model and customer experience Communicate and align with stakeholders, to keep them informed on the team direction, successes, demands and changes Work through implementation issues with specific product and engineering teams Report team progress regularly to primary director and executive/VP-level sponsors Working with design directors, define the bar for design quality and consistency Conduct regular reviews and health checks with team members to identify successes, demands, perspectives and preferences. About you As a Senior Design Manager, you will: Have a degree, preferably to Masters level, in design or a relevant discipline. We do appreciate there are ways into experience design outside of formal education. Whatever the route you've taken, you should have a firm grip on your discipline's body of knowledge as well as the wider design and product delivery practice Have a long history of successfully guiding multi-disciplinary teams and driving project work within the professional financial or similarly complex enterprise industries Have worked across all 4 stages of the double diamond: Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver Have experience in growing less experienced designers by using different coaching styles (direct vs. suggestive) Have strong communication skills across a wide variety of colleagues and stakeholders Have experience working with PM and engineering in a fast-moving environment Have a highly proficient level of English to work in an English-speaking international environment Next Steps We are an established multi-disciplinary full-spectrum product design team who have had a major impact on LSEG products over the past several years.
