We have an office in Bengaluru but as we continue to expand our footprint in India, we can hire eligible candidates remotely anywhere in India.
We are looking for a Senior Design Manager/Head of Design in India to lead designers and operate within a leadership squad within Jira Platform, working together to define the future of work management.
Jira Platform is part of our Cloud Platform team that enables Atlassian products to create ways to help all teams to come together, collaborate, and control their workflows. We partner and collaborate with many product teams across Atlassian, ensure we are collecting their requirements and building an experience for our customers across products.
As the Senior Design Manager, you will lead a team of Design Managers, passionate Product and Content Designers, and partner deeply with your peers in Engineering, Product Management, Research & Insights, and Program Management to accomplish Jira Platform's mission. You will report to the Head of Design for Jira Platform.
In addition to operational management and strategic projects, you will also provide regional leadership in India and Europe for our design team which includes hosting rituals, onboarding new team members, safeguarding quality levels, promoting local connection within the design practice, and attracting new talent.
As a design leader of the core platform area, you will work across 14 cross-functional teams to understand their needs and ensure our solutions scale, improve, and delight our customers. You will specifically lead 3 main domains in Jira Platform: Search, Enterprise Features and Foundations. These domains will experience high growth in the future and you will identify and embed designers where they will make the most impact.Leading this space means you get to improve digital experiences for over 180,000 customers in 190 countries. Your work will directly affect tens of thousands of customers and millions of users!
