About the Team The English Strategic Business Support team was formed to maintain oversight of the ELL Content Support & Production portfolio, facilitate project health reviews, project manage key strategic/business initiatives, and provide \'one version of the truth\' reporting function with management dashboards to focus decisions and improve business accountability, decision making, transparency, and visibility. About the role The Senior Business Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Strategic Business Support Supervisor with the facilitation of Project Health Reviews, Financial reviews, Risks, and Issues escalation, dashboard reporting for the Senior Leadership. They will also provide essential operational support on English Language Learning (ELL) activities. General Role Responsibilities Execute the responsibilities of your role according to standards, as set out in the Code of Conduct and staff handbook. To maintain a professional image and enhance the company\'s reputation for quality and service. To undertake/perform other duties associated with this role, by agreement. Environmental Policy and other related policies such as Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Prevention of Harassment Public Disclosure \'Whistle-blowing\' and Data Protection, etc. Specific Role Responsibilities Key Accountabilities Project Health (Budget, schedule, risk, issues & overall project status): Ensure Project Tracker is updated/completed by the product teams in a standardised and consistent format. Flag & escalate high portfolio risks & issues to the Strategic Business Support Supervisor. Facilitate the monthly project health review meetings to validate and track the project health & expenditure. Coordination and Support: Prepare dashboards and facilitate Product Approval process, update the ELL Product Roadmap. Manage SharePoint spaces, sharing relevant and updated information with the team. Review and implement new/current processes/governance and communicate to relevant teams. Guide and coach team members on best practice principles, governance, and tools. Manage Pricelist & Catalogue updates. Reporting: Dashboard checks to ensure accurate reporting as required. Key Challenges: Ability to provide data and analysis to Product Management and Development Teams within tight deadlines and to work methodically to ensure all aspects of tasks are completed. Maintaining a good team spirit and liaising with all functional areas. Key Relationships: CS&P VP, Strategic Business Support Supervisor, and CS&P Directors, Functional Leads Finance, Content Production, IP & Rights, Product Directors and Product Managers. Candidate : Education and experience Bachelor degree or equivalent in English Language. Any degree or equivalent in Financial management. Role-specific attributes Experience in working as part of a project team. Excellent English language proficiency and clear communication skills is a must. Good understanding of finance processes will be considered an advantage. Direct administrative support experience in a variety of settings Ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and produce high-quality and accurate work under time constraints Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organisation Skills/Knowledge Sound business and financial acumen, with the ability to navigate a complex and highly matrixed organization effectively, establishing effective communication lines to multiple stakeholders. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, to remain pragmatic and results-focused. Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint. Knowledge and capability of working with formulas in Excel will be considered an advantage. Experience with Smartsheet will be considered an advantage. Good knowledge of any relational database management system (RDBMS) and any Business Spend Management (BSM) system. Familiarity with Oracle and Coupa will be considered an advantage Flexibility and a willingness to learn and take on any challenge Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask when necessary.
