We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. The Realtime, External and Messaging Services (REMS) team is a specialized team for the implementation and support of market data and messaging infrastructure technologies globally. REMS is responsible for market data infrastructure platforms like Refinitiv TREP, Bloomberg, Factset, messsaging infrastructure like MQ, Solace, Symphony, and external network services like BT Radianz, TNS , etc. The Opportunity: The success of the team is measured through it\'s reliable services and the delivery of new/enhanced technologies to facilitate business needs in the region. The candidate will get a great opportunity to get exposed to different technologies involved in delivery of real time data. A salient place to gain knowledge of contemporary technologies like market data, cloud computing, DevOps, networks, databases and operating systems Job Profile: Provide Level 0-3 support for all market data infrastructure, messaging and external services globally, and also follow-the-sun global support for market data infrastructure, messaging and external services in UK/US. This particular role is looking for someone with 5+ years of MQ experience. Assist in the implementation of market data infrastructure, messaging and external services projects/requests globally to meet with business requirements and adhering to global REMS and group standards and directions. Work closely with global REMS, business teams, and various application IT parties including Telecommunication, market data and network services vendors, and Global REMS teams for project/requests implementation/testing/verification and rollout. Involve in market data infrastructure, messaging and external services upgrade (desktop applications, server applications, network circuits), performance and capacity management, and also any vendor/network changes and verification, systems drill test, etc to ensure stable and uninterruptible services to be delivered to business while meeting with the agreed Services Level Agreement. Follow group and Global REMS procedures and processes, including required administration, documentation to ensure all REMS systems under the proper configuration management and all incidents, changes, event are within group and regional incident, change and event management governance. Requirements Successful candidate must have Bachelors-degree level or equivalent on IT/Engineering disciplines with minimum 8-10 years working experience with 4 years solid experience in technical services implementation and support of mission critical communication, trading and/or networking systems. Good knowledge on Linux OS, including UNIX scripting and administration, VI editor, Microsoft Windows OS and basic desktop applications Good understanding on networking including Telecom circuits, network switches and routers, TCPIP protocol suites e.g. IP, UDP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, etc while more in-depth networking knowledge such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP qualification will definitely an advantage. Experience to provide 1st line system support and handle urgent and critical incidents following standard processes and the ability to make good judgment for escalation for the fast recovery of services to business. Previous ITIL / DevOps concept / understanding is desirable. Experience in IBM MQ messaging platform. Must be familiar with MQ Admin, creating and managing Queues, different MQ architectures, PubSub, Direct Messaging, MQ Clusters, Tivoli Monitoring etc Hands on knowledge/experience with one or more of the following technologies - Refinitiv Market Data Platform TREP/RTDS, MQ, Solace, Bloomberg, good understanding on Financial Markets services and working experience with trading operations in finance industry or similar environment is highly appreciated. Good communication (oral and written English) skills is important, and be able to discuss and handle user requests in English.
