Bring your passion, bring your energy, and be part of a global team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Great Innovation You as R&D Engineer- Data Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy - Bangalore, You will be part of the Grid Edge Solutions R&D team focusing on delivering digital applications applied to Distribut-ed Energy Resources and Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will be working on topics related to Energy Man-agement, Energy Trading, and Asset Performance Analysis. Your responsibilities

• Define and implement data pre-processing rules this includes data cleaning, and datasets creation
• Feature engineering, preprocessing and analysis of structured and unstructured multivariate data
• Ability to work with big data and extract useful data sets, perform data aggregation and transformation tech-niques
• Extraction of statistics and features from multivariate data
• Develop analytics algorithms by applying statistical, and machine learning approaches
• Propose appropriate illustration of the analytics results to appeal to different stakeholders and report clearly the insights
• Model energy problems from a mathematical point of view considering operation constraints and achieving desired economical objective
• Communicate and describe developed analytical algorithms efficiently with software development teams
• Ability to prototype and validate analytical solutions to increase their technology readiness levels
• Ability to work in a multinational team with agile mentality

Your background

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Informatics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in data analytics role or similar
• Excellent Python skills including ability to program
• Knowledge of MATLAB and R is a plus
• Good knowledge on relational databases SQL, and others
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques
• Knowledge of AMPL and other mathematical modelling languages is a plus
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning is a plus
• Good knowledge on data visualization techniques and using BI tools like Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau is a plus
• Experience with energy domain including energy assets performance analysis, energy trading, energy markets is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English written and spoken, and knowledge of Italian language is a plus
