Desirable experience, if Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ any Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Media Studies. Impeccable standards with written
English, grammar, editing, composition, vocabulary and pronunciation. Strong Interpersonal skills. The candidates having experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/English at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency will be preferred. Age Limit 35 Job requirement The selected candidate would be involved in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects for print/electronic/social/digital media in Hindi or/and
English. Developing short films on various topics of relevance in Science & Technology. The selected candidate would also report on assigned events; collect, collate and gather information to input correspondent and editors, keep database of media professionals, coordination with media houses, media people etc. and to provide assistance in other office related work as per the requirement. Consolidated emoluments (i) 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected per month through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government
Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.(ii)

ME/ M. Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with six year experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/English in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services or at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency.
OR
(i) Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering/
Technology/Pharma / Media & Mass Communication/
Science Communication/ English/ MD/ MS from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) Four years of working experience in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects, translation in Hindi/English in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T
Organizations and Scientific activities and services or at any place of repute in science R&D, communication, newspaper or news agency. Desirable experience, if Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ any Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Media Studies or Scientific Communications. Hands-on experience of content acquisition leading to overall production, mainly editorial related to magazine/ coffee table books/ Newsletter. Candidate with following skills will be preferred:

• the ability to think logically and understand complex ideas and data

Age Limit 40 Job requirement This job involves the role of a Science Writer. The selected candidate would be involved in reporting, writing, editing and producing content on science and technology related subjects for print/electronic/social/digital media in Hindi or/and
English. As a Science writer you need to understand complex scientific information, theories and practices.
You should be able to write in clear, concise and accurate language that can be understood by the general public.
The activities you\'ll undertake will primarily include:

• producing articles for publication in print and online according to agreed style, and keeping to strict deadlines
• conducting interviews with scientists, and academics and establishing a network of industry experts
• reading and researching specialist media and literature, such as scientific papers, patents, company reports, newspapers, magazines and journals, press releases and internet resources including social media
• compilation, editing and publishing of NCL Newsletter/

Magazine Consolidated emoluments (i) 49,000/- + HRA per month The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR-NCL post/fellowship.
