What Does a great Sr. Application Operations Engineer do at Fiserv?

Fiserv is looking for a talented Sr App Ops Engineer to provide Tier-2 technical product support. You will be diagnosing and fixing operational issues with our high-volume transaction processing applications, products, and platforms. Using product knowledge, subject matter expertise and technical skills, you will provide the highest level of service to resolve the client/customer\'s issues.

What you will do:

• Triage and resolve client requests and incidents.
• Analyze internal alerts coming from various monitoring tools like Splunk, SiteScope, Dynatrace etc.
• Analyze code and participate in root cause analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Work closely with product development teams to review operational readiness of production changes.
• Work in a team environment as well as independently resolve issues with minimal supervision.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• 3-5 years of Tier-2 technical support or development experience in Microsoft technologies (C#, .Net).
• Knowledge and experience of validating the applications post patching of Windows & Linux servers.
• Need to have development experience for debugging the code and make configuration changes.
• Experience with multi-tier architecture applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues.
• Basic understanding of network concepts

What would be nice to have:

• Strong Knowledge of Webservices like SOAP and REST
• Experience with Service Now for Incident, Case, Problem and Change Management
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace
• Experience creating tools for automating middleware maintenance.
• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, PCF
