JOB TITLE: ASM /Manager/Production
GRADE: ASM/MGR
REPORTS TO: DGM (SSI)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan, Organize & Staff the department in the most efficient manner to achieve set schedules
2. Manage the people issues at shop-floor emerging due to various reasons.
3. Ensure compliance to statutory regulations and Ensure that E H & S management system of the company is implemented in manufacturing
4. Take lead and overall Safety responsibility when working in shifts.
5. Achieve production and quality targets as per plan with specific focus on OTD, AMT, SRR control and Operational excellence initiatives.
6. Assist / conduct training and development programs as and when required
7. Strive for process/productivity improvement through Operational excellence tools
8. Prepare, Maintain and update records related to ISO 9000 procedures and other procedures
9. Continuous focus on Lead-time to result in reduction in Lead-time. Strong experience in Lean manufacturing tools.
10. Promote Employee Participation/Involve through Operational excellence / Kaizen Activities
11. Attending JUMC meeting and provide effective action plan to issues
12. Take part in all predetermined Audits.
13. Take part in E H & S audits & inspections and ensure SSI (shop) executives also perform audits and inspections. Facilitate identification of E H & S hazards and risks in the workplace and implementation of the associated mitigation plans.
14. Co-ordinate with all other functions for effective functioning of the SSI (shop).
15. Responsible for all manufacturing and associated business processes and their control and adherence.
16. Responsible for activities of Industrial Engineering\', to simplify manufacturing processes to reduce Mfg. Lead time and continuously enhance shop floor productivity, Time standards development & improvement and ensure positive Savings.
17. Sustain and improve HR functions & systems compliance related to SSI (shop) team
18. Increase productivity through greater plant/facilities availability & upkeep and ensure TPM / OEE initiatives sustenance.
19. Performance appraisal Closures as per Plan
20. Co-ordinate with purchase for material requirement on daily / weekly basis
21. Attending meetings related to Production , Quality , Operational excellence , EH&S
22. Co-ordinate for developmental activities with other departments
23. Responsible for timely reviews for work trainees and uplifting their morale and successful completion of training.
24. Follow EH&S rules & regulations of OTIS & implement EMS programs & activities.
25. Preparation of Monthly MIS
26. Putting Action plans for FTR and FTB (Field rejection) within Specified time
27. Closure of EH&S audits points based on their severity ( high , medium and Low )
28. Strive towards incorporating environment friendly technology / material in the product
29. Ensure that the sub contractors\xe2\x80\x99 personnel working in the factory are complying with all the EH&S requirements stipulated.
30. Work towards reducing air, water and solid emissions
31. Provide Leadership & Guidance to employees within his supervision

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a Bachelor Degree or Diploma Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial).
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in engineering industry.
ANY OTHER KNOWLEDGE /SKILLS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES IF REQUIRES
1.Good Communication skill
2. Quick learner with exceptional interpersonal skills.
3.Familiar with all manufacturing processes in a Mechanical / Electrical industry.
4. Able to lead and handle a team of union employees.
5. To be able to work in shifts.
6. Experience in IR (Industrial Relations)
7. Lean manufacturing Implementation experience / six sigma (minimum green belt)
8. Experience in discrete manufacturing scenario (MTO & ETO)
