Mission

  • Key missions of the position:
  • Build, manage and improve on a continuous improvement basis the industrial and industrial oriented and connected activities of Brakes & Safety product line, meeting the needs of the customer, reach and optimize the goals in terms of Quality, Cost, Deliveries.
  • Special Process Coordinator has responsibility over the Special Process within FT Hosur.

  • Responsibilities
  • Design, prove, implement and maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost
  • Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste
  • Drive validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales
  • Identify and justify capital equipment investment
  • Analyse and improve material usage
  • Monitor M3 sanity and drive reduction of negative inventory due to MBoM error
  • Special Process Coordinator for EC & A process
  • Coordinate for Customer, statutory audits and take necessary action on PED BBS points
  • Capacity and capability analysis and inputs to Strap and SIOP
  • Participate in plant level QRQC
  • Provide resource hours allocation for customer and industrial projects
  • Analyse process downtime, identify trends and develop solutions
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success
  • Drive the team to create the standard for MOST, MH, Capacity, Ergonomics, Layout planning

People Management: No
Budget Management: YES
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from reputed University/College is mandatory. Other exposure/certification in Business Management/Administration and/or similar will be preferred
  • Sheet metal & Welding experience a plus

Professional Experience: 15 + years of experience in Process Engineering

  • Lead by actions; manage and resolve conflict

  • Customer focus Understanding of Customer issues; exposure to Customer interactions will be preferred
  • Functional knowledge & skills Knowledge on functional activities, tools, systems; ability to learn products & technologies
  • Financial acumen Understanding of project/functional financials, data management
  • Communication management Strong communication skills in English – both verbal & written; stakeholder interaction/management ability
